Just got an email about the end of year party
it's black tie. I don't own a dinner suit. Eek!

Alt: If I buy a made to measure dinner suit, that might be nice.

I can't remember who Al argued with over suits
I think it was Mighty Badger. I can't remember what they were arguing about either. But I'm sure that not knowing will make everyone laugh at me when I turn up in my rented powder blue tux and frilly shirt.

Al likes to argue with Badge about him having his off-the-peg suit from Burtons tailored.

(, Thu 1 Nov 2012, 15:27, Reply)
who wins in this scenario?

(, Thu 1 Nov 2012, 15:30, Reply)
I think we all do

(, Thu 1 Nov 2012, 15:31, Reply)
There are no winners here.

Burton by the sounds of it?
My suits are not off the pegg
(, Thu 1 Nov 2012, 15:39, Reply)
Does he? To what end?
A bit of tailoring, which isn't all that expensive, can make a cheap suit look a lot better.
(, Thu 1 Nov 2012, 15:31, Reply)
I think that was Badger's point.

(, Thu 1 Nov 2012, 15:36, Reply)

Obviously it'd be cleverer to buy a suit that fitted in the first place.
