And, you'd probably need to know at least where to point him for tutorials and stuff, and if needed do some soldering for him

If I was like a jermey beadle type tv show type guy.
I would ask someone working in a cafe/whatever, who was using an apple laptop, if they wanted a cold fruit based drink, and if they said yes, I would snap their laptop over my kneed and yell "SNAPPLE".
