As a martial arts film collector I have two distinct viewpoints.The modern, big-budget epics need to be in Chinese and subtitled for gravitas. However proper old-skool kung fu films have to be overdubbed for that vintage experience.

I have to watch almost all films dubbed these days, due to the ladypig being partially sighted. I have also mastered reading incidental subtitles in films in inappropriate voices to wind her up.
