Yeah good one.
So do you think tax avoiders should be named and SHAMED?

Select commitee does, Douglas Alexander doesn't.

I agree, I don't believe public companies should be able to claim that privacy is important for something like that.

I think that the Inland Revenue should do their job and ensure that they collect sufficient tax from these people.
Hopefully the extra budget just announced should facilitate this.

Yes, Osbourne will sort this all!

Yes.

i think they should stop dicking around with pointless gesture politics and actually close some of the tax loopholes.

(, Mon 3 Dec 2012, 13:30, Reply)
I can't believe I'm actually going to say this
but I think AB is right. If the loopholes weren't there, people couldn't take advantage of them.

It's never going to happen though, is it?

The 'name and shame' brigade relies of peer pressure, but as most of the peers of the board members involved are actual peers, they couldn't give a fucking monkey's what we think of them.

It'll hardly make a difference will it? Just politicians looking like they are doing something.

have you seen how much they've had to defend themselves?
(, Mon 3 Dec 2012, 13:31, Reply)

Nothing yet,
but they're going back into "negotiations" with HRMC, and I have a feeling HRMC are not going to be as easily bullied as they would have been a few years ago.
(, Mon 3 Dec 2012, 13:34, Reply)
Let's hope HMRC take a page from their book
