I finished that interminable Wheel of Time series, finally, 17 years after I started reading it

from what I hear it's all just a bit meh, and all female characters have to be described in terms of where they are crossing their arms in relation to their breasts - '...she crossed her arms under her breasts...'

It's not so much their breasts that's the problem, it's just that Jordan equates 'strong female character' with 'being a wittering, whiny, fractious shrew'
No woman can talk to anyone in the entire series without belittling them and being an utter harridan.

That and there's four books where shit all happens and the series only gets slightly better once he died and someone else took over.

I just liked the first five books when I was fourteen, so carried on, and it's been SEVENTEEN YEARS OF DISAPPOINTMENT
