Off the top of my head, beating about 40 others at a film quiz
Considering I was in a team of 1, this showed how extensive my knowledge of 'film' is how much of a gimp I really am.

Alt: Going sledging with my brother, watching him hit a divet halfway down, flying a fair distance, only to land on his feet and try to run off the momentum. It didn't work, and he tripped over, going flat on his face.

Altlols
This reminds me of an underage drinking incident down the seafront where my mate Steve managed to go arse over tit down a 50' bank, rolling about 20 or 30 times, only to stand up with his still full bottle of wine...

Then fall over due to dizziness and spill most of it.

fair enough,
I've been approached by some people that run a film quiz in london called "you're going to need a bigger boat" that is apparently very popular, and they want to expand and do a monthly one in my upstairs bar, but i want to try and find some people who have maybe heard of it, or even been to get the low down. I don't really trust photos on websites, it looks mad busy, but they may have ust got all their mates down.

you don't have much to lose by trying them out though do you?

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 14:53, Reply)
i'm giving up quite a large area of the pub on a weekend evening once a month,
and it wouldn't be fair just to give them one or two months, it would have to be given time to build, so 6 months or so at least. Thats worth to me about 8-10 k over the upstairs bar that i could potentially lose over 6 months

oh right well no incentive to try them out then is there
You can get them to commit to either a minimum spend or minimum headcount: I've had that imposed on me in club nights I've done.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:18, Reply)
Like I say, make them share the risk.
Do they charge entry or subscription or something?
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:24, Reply)
Go to one of their events, take b3tans, put it on expenses.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 14:55, Reply)
