Bedrooms look small.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:46, Reply)
Yeah, but two of them and a conservatory for £760 a month.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:47, Reply)
I could get around £1100 for mine I think.
You've seen it, it's fucking minute.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:49, Reply)
Fuck me, have rents gone through the roof since I last bothered looking?
Or is Milton Keynes suddenly Knightsbridge?

I'm going to have to reassess my moral position on not owning more than one property, I think.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:51, Reply)
Actually you're right they are fucking tiny

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:47, Reply)
you're still renting at 29?
Fucking hell.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:47, Reply)
To be fair, he lives in the south.
I'm sure he'd be able to afford a mortgage in the blasted hell you call home.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:49, Reply)
I used to own Leeds but I flogged it for £20 when I was a bit skint.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:51, Reply)
centre of York is not cheap.
Three bed terraces like I have start at about 200k on my street.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:52, Reply)
1 bed flats start at about £160k in my street.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:52, Reply)
and you can't afford that?
Blimey.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:54, Reply)
I don't want a one bed flat.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:56, Reply)
One bedroomed flats (studios) start at 140k in my home town.
My parents' three bedroom starter terrace is worth 250k.

Cheap is relative.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:53, Reply)
yes, average property prices vary across the UK
Thanks for the update.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:55, Reply)
Try not being a smug prick for once in your life.
You were the one exclaiming at his renting at 29. You can't then do the "yeah, it's expensive in the south, you DICK" routine. He is renting, because house prices here are expensive. We could all afford to buy in York. We haven't because we don't want to fucking live there.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:57, Reply)
oh K Bone
Property prices tend to correlate to average salary bands in the area. Hence you maybe could afford to buy in York.

And yeah, York's a shithole, unlike Slough and Milton Keynes. Famous for its hideous city centre in fact. You got me there.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 16:03, Reply)
You're genuinely unbelievable.
You take the piss out of Chompy for renting. It's pointed out to you that's due to the high cost of buying in the south. You're all "lol yeah, well done, house prices fluctuate".

You're a cock.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 16:05, Reply)
York also has a high cost of buying.
What are you getting at here?
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 16:09, Reply)
Not as high as the south, even MK, which you're so disparaging about.
But mostly, that you're a cock.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 16:10, Reply)
In fairness I myself am disparaging about MK, it's well shit.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 16:12, Reply)
My 1-bed 1920s ex council flat with no garden is worth about 230k

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:53, Reply)
Unless my IVA administrators are reading this in which case it's 175k, I in no way lied OK?

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:56, Reply)
1: Rent's cheap in Milton Keynes
2: Knock those two bedrooms into one and you might be able to swing a cat in it.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:48, Reply)
landlords love it when you knock through

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:49, Reply)
I know, right?

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:49, Reply)
That's cheap?
fuck me, you lot are getting absolutely arse-raped in the south east now.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:52, Reply)
*nods*

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:53, Reply)
Genuinely
I mean, granted I haven't rented in the SE for about 10 or 11 years, but the last place I rented was a 2-bed detached cottage in central Wokingham with a fuck-load of land for £400 per month.

Given Wokingham is, let's face it, just a touch more expensive to live in than MK, that's in excess of 100% inflation of rent in 10 years. Jesus fuck, I need to cut my morality, go over to the cunt side and buy myself some more property.
(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:56, Reply)
You could become Chompy's landlord.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:57, Reply)
Yep, milton keynes is the worst place in the country for the House price/rental cost ratio.

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 16:01, Reply)
Looks good but what is the conservatory actually for?

(, Tue 22 Jan 2013, 15:51, Reply)
For conserving things in YOU IDIOT
