Serial Killers.
So anyway I've started watching social networking murder show The Following. It's pretty shit, but it's enjoyable shit.

Kevin Bacon chews the scenary while playing a FBI serial killer catcher with a dark past.

What's the best TV genre. What's your favourite TV genre?
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:23, 104 replies, latest was 12 years ago)
I suppose films could count as well.

(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:23, Reply)
I like post apocalypse stuff.
It's good research for the fear I will need to instill in people when I start my cult.
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:27, Reply)
Evolution is a relativley new post apocolyptic show.
It's very pretty, but fucking shit.
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:29, Reply)
I haven't seen it. I will check it out.

(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:30, Reply)
Don't get your hopes up, there's a few great characters
but some of the main characters are fucking annoying.

(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:50, Reply)
I like sci fi stuff set in space
There isn't any anymore, we've given up on our DREAMS man, our DREAMS are DEAD.

My favourite thing that's on right now is Justified because it is the MANLIEST tv show. MANLY. BANG BANG. GUNS. THREATS. MEN.
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:27, Reply)
I watched the first season of that and then some more, but then forgot about it. Now I can't remember what I watched up to.
So I might never bother finishing it, which is a shame.
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:28, Reply)
I just like thingie sillyname and Mrs Goggins fighting about stuff and all threatenin' y'all
It's like Deadwood for thickies, love it.

(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:39, Reply)
And yeah, we need a new space show, there's talk of a Blake 7 remake.

(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:29, Reply)
I mean not all space shows were great, but it was comforting having them on, a sort of 'look we can get out there we can do better' tv series
There's barely any sci-fi at all these days, even the, ugh, 'Syfy' channel just does paranormal shit. I WANT SPACE SHIPS DAMNIT
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:31, Reply)
I blame BSG, now everything is compared to it, and if it isn't that big and impressive and good, it wont be made.

(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:38, Reply)
I've just rewatched most of BSG
Forgot how good S2 was, forgot how shit S4 was. And knowing *that* ending is coming up isn't making me want to continue with it.
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:40, Reply)
Just scratch the last 20mins off the dvd.

(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:42, Reply)

(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:43, Reply)

To answer my own questions. My favourite is Sci-Fi,
but I think that the best genre as a whole is Crime.
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:31, Reply)
Crime is a wide genre.
I used to really enjoy shows like Cracker and Prime Suspect. CSI Shite doesn't have the same appeal to me.
(, Wed 30 Jan 2013, 14:32, Reply)
I'm quite enjoying the new prime suspect.
No, not prime suspect the other one. Silent witness.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, I like a good music documentary like what they do on BBC4.
I always fall asleep before the end though, so not really worth me trying to watch them.

The vampires that (thankfully rarely) appear in Supernatural are vicious. The last one I saw on there was being tortured with electrified nails through it's hands and feet.
