What if they're protesting something that would effect you. Like stopping the oak flooring tax or whatever.

It must be convenient living on an industrial estate

(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:09, Reply)
Actually that's a lie, it's MK14 6HW
Which is a joke no one will get without googling. But that's the community care office for Scope.

Lol, I'm sure you'll agree.

Has protests ever changed anything in recent history?
I know that's not the only point of one, but I'm just wondering.

The Arab spring?
But in the UK, I'm not sure to be honest, there'll never be a direct change in response to a protest because politicians don't want to seem like they're backing down, but I assume that they do shit themselves a little when they see large protests outside their windows.

But having a look at this.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_protests_in_the_United_Kingdom
I'd say probably the UK uncut caused Starbucks et al to be pulled in front of the select committee, and the Gurker justice thing basically got all of it's demands met.

Isn't it illegal to hold a large protest outside their windows now?

(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:18, Reply)
Stay about from their windows

(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:19, Reply)
you can do it if you get their permission,
which ruins the point
(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:21, Reply)
I think they can't unreasonably refuse it though.

(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:22, Reply)
that would kind of be the same as it not existing,
if it were anything more than just words
(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:27, Reply)
It's sort of practical things like you can't protest on this street while we're replacing the mains water
and you'll have to let us know a time so we can get cops in to do crowd control.
(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:30, Reply)
yeh

(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:45, Reply)
Oh yeah', I meant UK.
That makes sense, if they give in, then they'll be protests all the time, and that simply won't do.... we can protest in the form of a queue every 4 years outside the village church.
(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:22, Reply)
go eat a bag of dicks

(, Mon 4 Mar 2013, 13:48, Reply)
Go shove a bag of dicks up your arse and then puke them out your mouth while rimming your granny so the dicks fly out your mouth like a TLDR
