Ooh I know!
Giving up booze for two months. That was a GREAT decision. I lost two stone. And became DULL. But now I'm EXCITING again. And have GAINED THREE POUNDS. So I have to DECIDE whether to GIVE IT UP AGAIN to lose weight.

Giving up beer is fucking tedious

It was a bit
but the rewards were so obvious it makes me want to get off it again. On the other hand, I really like beer.

Obvious answer
Drink a bit less
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:38, Reply)
Doesn't make as much difference to be honest.
Alcohol has a lot of calories, but the main problem is it slows the breakdown of fat. 2 beers in 3 hours has the same effect as 10 beers on the breakdown of fat.

I'm half convinced that beer doesnt make you put on weight
Its just the pizzas/kebabs/fryups afterwards

Replace beer with gin and tonic FFS.
Problem solved. And a slice of lime contributes to your 5-a-day.

no no no it's more like 3 beers in 4 hours is like 9 beers
or a vodka and coke in twenty minutes is like four bloody marys during an episode of the sopranos.

It's a trade-off.
Would you like to live like Sting and be 150 years old, or like Stunned and die at 41? Perhaps there is a middle path?
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:38, Reply)
don't be a tool
when have any of us ever found that elusive middle path
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:39, Reply)
Are you saying Stunned has between 18 and 30 months to live?

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:39, Reply)
At best, yes.
