imagine if you had bought that ghastly Cayenne

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:51, Reply)
It would be peppered with faults

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:51, Reply)
I had a Cayenne Turbo.
Cost me about £650 for a service. However I wasn't married & didn't have any kids so I had much more disposable income.
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:52, Reply)
Why the fuck did you have one of those?

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:54, Reply)
I had a nasty car accident in a sports car & wanted a tank afterwards.
However I wanted a tank that was fast.

I didn't know you were married to Quentin

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:52, Reply)
?

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:54, Reply)
Yeah, it cost me best part of that.
And my car isn't even very good.
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:52, Reply)
You can afford it.

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:52, Reply)
Yes. That's not the point though.

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:53, Reply)
Course it is.
Spending money you have on something you need shouldn't really be worthy of comment.
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:53, Reply)
My comment is based on my belief that £400 seems a lot.

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:54, Reply)
Depends.
Minor or major service? Main agent or not? Any parts changed? is it an Audi, BMW or Merc?
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:06, Reply)
58 plate Volvo 2.4TD V70 Estate.
32k on the clock. Automatic.

Volvo specialist, not main dealer. Should just be filters & fluids, plus maybe a cambelt tightening.
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:08, Reply)
Find another specialist then
although, Volvos are pretty harsh for servicing. "premium" image.

I bought some potatoes on the way home yesterday.
I needed it because I wanted to eat them.
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:54, Reply)
Me too!
I had mince and dumplings. It was NOMMY
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:56, Reply)
if you had been forced to pay £50 for said potatoes it might be worthy of comment

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:58, Reply)
Quite.

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:58, Reply)
Yes, because that would be 3500% more than I was expected to pay.
Not say 20-30% more.
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:00, Reply)
that depends on how many potatoes you bought

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:01, Reply)
I bought the correct amount.

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:04, Reply)
30 kilos?

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:05, Reply)
I just guessed how big my pan was and bought 30 tonnes.

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:06, Reply)
Potatoes are for children.

(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:01, Reply)
pfffft
double it

welcome to my world
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 11:56, Reply)
As I have said before
this is because you give it to a Merc main dealer, automatically doubling if not tripling your cost.
(, Wed 20 Mar 2013, 12:16, Reply)
true but still
that doesn't mean i can't whinge about it, does it?!
