Hi Folks
Photobucket

As it's Friday, and we've had a tough week - and I admit it: I've been a bit tough on you all, I stopped off at the cake shop on the way in, so help yourselves, there's plenty for everyone, but don't take the Custard Slice - that's mine.

Oh, and put the kettle on someone.

*grabs cake*
*fucks off before anyone notices she's tracked mud in all over the carpets*

Off to work, byeeeeee :)
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 8:48, Reply)
Morning
The kettle is on and I made milk chocolate brownies covered in white chocolate last night.

Would anybody like one?
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 8:53, Reply)
Mmm, chocolate brownies!
I'll have one of those, thanks!

*scoffs*

And good morning all. Che, I think you need to pinch ancrenne's Home Sweet Home sign for this thread.

Is it bad I'm already on my third cup of the day?

@Che
Just cut and paste the text below into your post, but exchange the square brackets at either end for the pointy bracket things above the comma and full stop on your keyboard. That should do it.

Should work. Never mind, it's close enough on the board to last night's thread so people will notice. And I've linked to here from the last thread.

Can we go there? I've never started a thread before - it's like organising a party and being scared no one will come.

I have to bake some biscuits or brownies today to take with me at the weekend.

I also have that article still to write, but I did get my tax return filed yesterday, so yay me!

Very odd...Maybe b3ta just has its cyber finger on every pulse...

I owe you a huge apology.

I couldn't work out why everyone was replying to you but I couldn't read your posts.

Odd..I thought...maybe they've been deleted for some reason.

I noticed this the other day for the first time and thought nothing more about it.

Then this morning everyone was talking to you again, but you weren't there...

How was this happening?

Then it dawned on me....

I was looking at my friends list earlier in the week....

I must have clicked ignore without realising I'd done it.

How do I know I'd done it accidentally?

I don't really do the whole ignore thing because I'm far too nosey and worried I might miss something.

So I apologise for ignoring you, albeit accidentally, for the last few days.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 10:34, Reply)
I almost ignored myself yesterday
I went to edit one of my posts and clicked Ignore by mistake.

Fortunately the confirmation page saved my bacon. I mean, had I clicked it, then would I have been unable to access my own posts? Or even unable to see myself? I probably would then have collapsed into a black hole or something.

The only clue to my existence would be the Hawking radiation from my event horizon...

Happy birthday for Tuesday - hope you enjoy your bash tomorrow.

I'm off to Hyde Park later, so won't be bashing anything (B3tans, bishops, whatever).

Last night, I actually had a dream - very rare occurence! Must have been all that dream discussion with K2k6. Lots happened, but the finale was me being on a 'plane to Washington DC and snogging Boris Johnson. He's a good dream-kisser.

Re football:
I'm only interested once every two years during the European cup and the World cup. I never follow club-matches, but I do have a team I support, but I'm keeping it a secret.

I usually switch off when people I'm with start having a detailed discussion about football. Although I did join the company football-team for one of the companies I worked for. Wasn't very good but still took part. Did it more as a means of bonding with my fellow workers than for playing football, but still enjoyed myself.

@K2k6:
If you want angle-brackets, use < and >

The only thing that would cheer me up is Stalker Girl not getting it either: unfortunately, I have no way of finding out! And then I would have to track her down and sing "you're not singing, you're not singing, you're not singing any more..." to her repeatedly.

I'm thinking I may have to wear a short skirt to the next interview and hope it makes a difference...

I'm based in Canterbury at the moment, living in uni accommodation for the time being, but Mr Maladicta and I want to move to somewhere cheaper - we tried Margate but there are no jobs in Thanet at all, so we're now looking at Ashford. If you know any recruiters with a need for someone who speaks fluent-ish French, passable if you're deaf in one ear Italian but has no work experience other than a bit of community service (3 months or so) and work experience placements totalling a fortnight, then please please get in touch! *is desperate*
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 14:08, Reply)
@M
But wouldn't that make you the stalker then?
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 14:09, Reply)
@ PJM
Thanks :) I'm not sure I have the confidence for it, but I did think it went well enough to let me have one of the 40 odd places they had there... I had the edge as well because I speak French but I guess I'm just going to have to keep trying.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 14:10, Reply)
@M
If you speak fluent French, Ashford is the place to get a job. It's positioning on the Eurostar line makes a lot of French comapnies want to move there to escape the beaurocracy of France.

In fact, Ashford is the only UK town I remember where many of the signposts are translated into French.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 14:11, Reply)
@ spakka
Well, it would make me feel better (having just been grumpy with Mr Maladicta on the phone, who didn't deserve it) to make someone else suffer, but that would make me a stalker.

*hides the brake fluid*

Edit: I did see lots of French signposts in Ashford, so it sounds like the ideal place for me to set myself up with something - now if I can only get myself a decent job there...
