[i'm talking in general to everyone here]
I can't really see a difference between this and a bunch of your old school 'friends' being present with pictures of you mongged off your tits, and then talking negativly about you and the activity in question.

I've had this checked out and it turns out I tested negative for Savillitus.

No no, I was just informed that you guys were talking about me and my cosplay, so I figured I'd stop by and answer any questions.

Suggest whomever you like
But I won't dress as someone I don't know. Sailor Moon isn't something I've watched/read

Ah, well that's actually quite an easy one
First of all, no one bats an eyelid when someone walks down the street wearing the shirt of their favourite sporting team. Personally, sport doesn't interest me, but comic books do.
Comics can be an extremely deep form of fiction (though I confess not all the time). As such, I find myself drawn to some characters that I feel I have a connection with.
I had been to conventions before and saw a number of people having such a good time in their costumes, so I thought I would give it a try.
When you put on the costume, or at least the *right* costume, you feel a connection with the character at an even deeper level that just reading the books. Not only that, but everyone else doing it feels the same way.
At a convention, you'll meet so many awesome people, many of whom will be your friend for a good long time. Also: getting hammered after the cons with these people is a lot of fun.

2. Those outdoor pics - where were they taken and did you go there on public transport in your outfit?

3. Maybe it's just me, but there's something creepy and sexual sounding about the term 'cosplay'.
Is there a creepy sexual element to it all? I should imagine a 'lob-on' would be somewhat obvious in those tights.

It's no more creepy that a meet of b3tans or the EDL.

4. The costume: did you
a) have it made for you specially
b) make it yourself
c) buy it from some weird shop (in America, I would guess)

The fact that you clearly don't give a shit is quite impressive actually.
Like when Jonathan King remained wholly unrepentant.

Not at all.
I found Special K was making me gassy and uncomfortable. Instead I switched to Rice Crispies and running.
