[i'm talking in general to everyone here]
I can't really see a difference between this and a bunch of your old school 'friends' being present with pictures of you mongged off your tits, and then talking negativly about you and the activity in question.

Sorry Gonz.

That would also be fair game if you ask me

Did your special sign appear in the sky?

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:32, Reply)
No no, I was just informed that you guys were talking about me and my cosplay, so I figured I'd stop by and answer any questions.

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:35, Reply)
What's your next costume?

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:35, Reply)
Maybe a gender-swapped version of Captain Marvel.

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:41, Reply)
May I suggest a Sailor moon person.

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:42, Reply)
Suggest whomever you like
But I won't dress as someone I don't know. Sailor Moon isn't something I've watched/read

1. In God's name why?

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:35, Reply)
Ah, well that's actually quite an easy one
First of all, no one bats an eyelid when someone walks down the street wearing the shirt of their favourite sporting team. Personally, sport doesn't interest me, but comic books do.

Comics can be an extremely deep form of fiction (though I confess not all the time). As such, I find myself drawn to some characters that I feel I have a connection with.

I had been to conventions before and saw a number of people having such a good time in their costumes, so I thought I would give it a try.

When you put on the costume, or at least the *right* costume, you feel a connection with the character at an even deeper level that just reading the books. Not only that, but everyone else doing it feels the same way.

At a convention, you'll meet so many awesome people, many of whom will be your friend for a good long time. Also: getting hammered after the cons with these people is a lot of fun.

2. Those outdoor pics - where were they taken and did you go there on public transport in your outfit?

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:38, Reply)
They were shot at MCM.
I changed the in loos.
(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:40, Reply)
Does nothing gets past your super senses???????

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:38, Reply)

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 16:00, Reply)
Doing charlston kicks can really hurt someone's shins.

3. Maybe it's just me, but there's something creepy and sexual sounding about the term 'cosplay'.
Is there a creepy sexual element to it all? I should imagine a 'lob-on' would be somewhat obvious in those tights.
(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:41, Reply)
Actually, no. It's just a bunch of people that like comics a lot talking about comics
It's no more creepy that a meet of b3tans or the EDL.
(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:46, Reply)
There is pretty much nothing on earth more creepy than a b3ta bash

4. The costume: did you
a) have it made for you specially
b) make it yourself
c) buy it from some weird shop (in America, I would guess)
(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:43, Reply)
I bought the mask and boots
but the rest was made by me.
(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:48, Reply)
The fact that you clearly don't give a shit is quite impressive actually.

Like when Jonathan King remained wholly unrepentant.

Is it true that you get your powers from Special K?

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:50, Reply)
Not at all.
I found Special K was making me gassy and uncomfortable. Instead I switched to Rice Crispies and running.
(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:50, Reply)
PS Al fancies you

(, Mon 3 Jun 2013, 15:35, Reply)
It's not like I fancy him, I just get a funny feeling in my tummy when I think of him.
