i agree
my uncle's gf insisted on an abortion even though he wanted the baby desperately. fundamentally i think it has to be the woman's right to choose, as it's her body, but i have seen first hand how much it can fck up the father.

Of course it does.
It's terribly unfairly weighted, though. All family law is. Fathers are seen as disposable.

Yeah?
We'll see how your tune changes when your dildo needs a battery change and doesn't have the first idea on how to put up shelving.

you'd love it

Again?!
I thought you'd got that fixed.

yeah but then batteries die
and the clocks go forward and.... urrrgh

It's not unfairly weighted at all.
The father doesn't have to put himself through any physical discomfort or danger and therefore the entire decision rests with the mother. She should take on board the views of the father, but there is no possible way that you can make them binding in any way shape or form.

i agree with this
but i think it's fucking hard on the guy, if he wants to keep it, that's all. sad.
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 14:49, Reply)
if he wanted to keep it
he shouldn't have flung his muck up someone that didn't want a baby.
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 14:51, Reply)
Quite.
This is the key thing.
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 14:54, Reply)
Luckily men are usually very careful about where they fling their muck

Like I said,
I am not putting forward the idea that fathers should be able to overrule the mother's wishes. I've got no alternatives because there aren't any.

And I meant that family law in general, not specifically abortions, is unfairly weighted towards the mother.
