CQ is in favour of what?
Alt: abortion should be mandatory for any couple that don't pass a few simple tests, such as tying shoe laces, spelling their own name, not being on drugs, having a job and a few simple mathematical and literacy skills. Anyone in a tracksuit will be turned away.

he said that people should be able to use other people's land
and that my job, which is basically preventing people's rights over their property from being infringed, was unnecessary. i suspect he may have been trolling me...

Personally, I think squatter's rights ought to be revoked entirely
and for them to be prosecuted fully under trespassing and property damage laws.
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 15:21, Reply)
chuck in some "anti terror laws" as well
they seem to be used for mist things these days

I'm kind of with you.
If they're in a shitty old broken old warehouse or a derelict block of flats, all power to them until an owner wants to use it, give them a week or so notice, and off they trot.
If they're in damaging perfectly good buildings that are temporarily empty between tenants or whatever, then they can Fuck off.
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 15:26, Reply)
there are two kinds of squatter's rights
the first is your dude who breaks in and lives there without consent. his only right is that you need a court order to get him out. annoying and timeconsuming and expensive for the landlord, plus a lot of them do trash the place. but you can have him out within a few days.

the second is the right to become the registered legal owner if you've been in occupation for more than 10 years. that is a v different thing. for example, i had one where a family had owned a field for many years, since their dad bought it in the 1930's. turned out he'd bought it from a total charlatan, but because they'd owned it, farmed it etc for 70 years, they won.

A little from column A a little from column B
I was winding you up, but I do think you're hideously over paid and that you whine far to much about how much you have to work and how much tax you pay.

As for property, it's far more complex that "either it should all be free or Swipe's job is VITAL" which is what you seemed to be saying, but given those just 2 options, I'll go for "everyone should be allowed to use everyone else's land for free" every time.
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 15:53, Reply)
you can't say that anyone is overpaid or underpaid until you've done their job

(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 15:53, Reply)
There isn't really such a thing as being over paid, it's just the market rate
same thing with house prices
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 15:55, Reply)
There is and you are.
even if your pay is half a conker in a used condom.
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:03, Reply)
I like conkers

(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:13, Reply)
yes I can, I just did.
oh and the fact that Nakers (the second biggest waste of a perfectly good salary on this board) is agreeing with you does rather prove my point.

Silliness aside that's a bollocks argument, that means almost no one can judge anyone else's pay (given than most of us have not done the majority of other people's jobs. By extension of that argument almost no one could judge anyone on anything, which is just transparently silly.

(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:07, Reply)
God no, I wouldn't want your job, I mean imagine the tax I'd have to pay, it'd be simply frightful.
that and waking up hating myself every morning for being part of the downfall of the human race.
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:09, Reply)
hahahha, I do hate paying tax

(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:09, Reply)
I'd keep him alive and make him live on less money than everyone else.

My boss has never done my job
Does this mean he is not qualified to set my salary?
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:04, Reply)
well, evidently.

(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:06, Reply)
although I reckon that the small children who were starved and worked half to death to achieve the genuine "distressed" look on your new skirt
are probably a little underpaid
(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:03, Reply)
you can't say that until you have worked in a sweatshop Nakers.

(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:03, Reply)
I have worked in a factory, it was boring, repetitive, tedious, soul destroying, boring, repetitive and badly paid

(, Wed 26 Jun 2013, 16:05, Reply)
