its just the quickest way to get it into the blood stream
where as with normal drugs you would want to have a slow release hence oral or anal insertion so they dissolve in the stomach. By inhaling it dissolves into the nasal membrane and is straight into the blood.

Snorting ecstasy is highly effective but it's like setting fire to your face. It's fucking agony. Plus, ecstasy is well bent.
