No, I'm not, it's dreadful.
I have been sticking out as I didn't have a lot of choice. Now I do and would be happy to take a price drop for something I loved, providing I could move up reasonably quickly. I'm now in a position where I don't need to be quite so risk-averse, but that doesn't mean I'm made of money.

Could you do web analysis stuff? I had friends at innocent drinks and asos who were both recruiting fairly recently?

Do you have a link to a spec or anything?

No, but I can ask if they are still looking?
It was looking at sales, analysing purchases online and offline, prob working with the nakers of this world as to what sells well where, I think. It went a bit above my head!

Yeah, cool. I wouldn't mind staying in something tech-related.
All that big brother stuff they use to check demographics and stuff is actually pretty cool.

Joking aside, I actually find marketing quite interesting.

^ this is me.
When my flat is sold, I'll be debt free and in a position to gamble on trying a new job without the fear that if it doesn't work out I won't be able to pay maintenance or rent.

It's almost an exciting prospect - if it wasn't work-related and therefore not even remotely exciting.
(, Tue 13 Aug 2013, 10:13, Reply)
You'll actually be in a far better position than I am, so go for your life.

(, Tue 13 Aug 2013, 10:17, Reply)
It's a possible 2nd chance to try again which, were I able to hold onto myflat, i wouldn't have.
Trying to see positives out of a massive fucking disaster, right here.

Even if you didn't have your debt, you'd still be in a job you hated with a flat.
This way, you'll eventually end up with a job you love and a flat. It'll just take some time.

This is what I have to keep telling myself

or possibly drunk and under a bridge contemplating where it all went wrong
The slow drip of water trickling down the back of your neck as you slide the cold damp rope down towards your shoulders...

A distant beat of "need you tonight" plays in the background as you loosen your belt and get ready to Hutchence your self out of town...

What would you fancy doing?
I assume something music related?
I could see you as a plumber, tbh.
(, Tue 13 Aug 2013, 10:18, Reply)
YM ahahahahahahahahahah
Actually I wouldn't like to do anything in the music industry, the people I know who do, fucking hate it. The money's shit as well because someone else will always want your job so they don't need to pay well.

Photography is fun, and reasonably well paid. Occasionally very well paid. Met some ace people through it too.
Done it part time for 17 years now, it seriously doesn't seem like work. Or at least, work sitting in an office all day, which would fucking kill me.
