It's OK for the US to kill people indiscriminately with drones, but not for others they don't like to do it in other ways.
The US's foreign policy has always been a disaster, ever since WW1, comes of being an insular country with no idea about the rest of the world. They support all sorts of horrible dictators (Tito, Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, etc etc) cos they keep a lid on tribal warfare then knock them off when it either doesn't suit or the guy turns on them.

The UK is no less guilty than the US for this sort of thing.
Also, it's nothing to do with being insular or having no idea about the rest of the world. They know precisely what they are doing.
