Just had a look in the Urban Dictionary, as to what salt and sauce actually is,
it's a mixture of malt vinegar and brown sauce.
It's also the art of pooing and cumming at the same time. You learn something new every day.

Don't think I particularly wish to try either.
definitely trying the second one tonight

How the hell? I don't even...that's DISGUSTING
Vinegar and brown sauce mixed together?

It's a lot better than it sounds.
I mean, it's not that nice, but it's nowhere near as minging as you'd think. It's basically like thick vinegar but not as sharp, so it sticks to chips better.

CHALLENGE...ACCEPTED
I shall try it when I'm up there in a couple of weeks. I'll let you all know if I die.

Ask them to chuck it in a pot
so if you don't like it, it doesn't ruin your chips.

Where are you going?
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 10:51, Reply)
Staying a night in Edinburgh and then a night in Drumnadroichit. It's a bit of a driving holiday.

fair dos.

I don't see a problem with that
Brown sauce contains vinegar anyway.
I like to mix in mustard with mine.

You can't beat a pickled egg with chips, alongside a portion of scraps.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 10:59, Reply)
I don't think I've ever eaten a pickled egg.
I never have chips and I don't even want to know what 'scraps' are.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 11:02, Reply)
bits of fried batter and ting.

Sometimes called scratchings, it's a regional thing.
They don't seem to exist down South, alongside gravy in the chippie.

No wonder these people all drop dead from heart attacks by the age of 50.

I'll only get chips with a takeaway.
No deep fat fryer innit.

Half rice/half chips with your chicken madras, eh?

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 11:07, Reply)
Never been a fan of that.
The half/half thing. Not too mad on Madras either.
Last curry I had was Curry Goat, with rice, peas and dumplings.
