Told my boss we had to ignore customer procedure, as it was failing at their end, and making us look like fools (basically, email head office, asking can this club have more than 3000 cards?)
Problem being that this customer is one of our biggest, and sticklers for changing anything. Managed to convince the manager in question, we dispatched the ridiculous number of delayed orders, everyone was happy. It later turned out that the reason the procedure was failing is because our contact at the head office had actually left, and no-one was checking their emails. Bastards.
