I've just come back from Mr Maladicta's as I went there straight from work to get a look at the tenancy agreement, which has DRAFT watermarked all over it, so I'm not sure what's happening and neither of us can work out what needs chasing up reference-wise...

In other news, living in halls sucks GIGANTACOCK because some absolute twat pulled the fire alarm at the crack of 4.00 this morning, meaning yours truly had to spend five minutes grubbing around for clothes and stuff before staggering blindly into the carpark with everyone else as she had no time to put contacts in. If I don't get this flat I may have to kill someone. Feel free to send me your hitlists!

If the laptop was plugged directly into the phone-jack (or whatever broadband-hole he's using) or if the router is powered by the broadband-hole or the laptop, the Internet will still work. Not everyone uses wireless.

Maybe you could use your cats as part of a cat-based network. Upload everything you want to post onto a USB memory-sticks and get your cats to transport them to the nearest computer with a working Internet connection. They will bring back USB sticks containing the response of the Internet Oracle.
