I have tomorrow and Friday off
I will be starting the day with a medium English (I don't have any black pudding). Then slow cooker roasting a beef joint so the whole flat smells of roast beef all day. Then making a gravy with the meat juices, some wholegrain mustard, grated horseradish, brandy and a little sour cream. Probably serve with mash and some of the vegetable trivet.

I was thinking about roasting the beef in the slow cooker this year.
I don't want it to go to pieces though, like pulled pork does.

I'm well up for making my own (baby) gravy with the juices though. Plan.

You're gonna spunk in the gravy?

Every little helps!

Can you dry roast in a slow cooker?

Yes.

Apparently so. Plus the juices will be all in there do do the gravy.

I'll be pouring over it some white wine and chicken stock before I start
(doesn't overpower the taste of the juices, see)
