I saw your gardening post.
I spent Saturday morning barrowing wet concrete about. My arms and shoulders still hurt.

Oh man
I'm far too excited by the possibility of growing my own food
(, Mon 10 Mar 2014, 10:41, Reply)
So, what are you planning to grow?
I'm too lazy for the whole 'grow your own veggies' thing but I do grow herbs, chillies, peppers and spring onions.

So far I've planted:
carrots, onions, courgettes, beetroot, parsnips, garlic, leeks and peas.

Once the 4 raised beds are done (2 down, two to go) I need to rebuild my greenhouse as all the wood is rotten. In there will be tomato, peppers, chilli, herbs and 'ting

You're going to develop a new found passionate hatred for slugs.
The amount of damage they can cause is insane.

Copper wire and any other metal strung round the patch will deter slugs.
As they pass over the two wires they get a mild electric shock from the 'two dissimilar metals in an acid' reaction

You're going to be gutted when, after all this effort, you end up with barely a handful of peas and a couple of shrivelled carrots.
