Woe and horror!
I've just found out that I'm going to be moving desks at my company. I'm currently in a lighty, airy office with two other people, and my computer is at such an angle that they can't tell when I'm reading b3ta.

However, in about 3 weeks, I'm going to move to a larger, airy office upstairs, to be in the same room as quite a few other people, and my desk will be at an angle where loads of people can see if I'm doing work or not.

This will effectively end my "pissing around on the QOTW and off-topic" time at work, bar at lunchtime. Arse. So posting will be less frequent (but I'll be able to put more thought into my posts I guess). This annoys me somewhat.

I have a door behind me.
A busy door.

I've just got really good at alt+tabbing.

This is why I get annoyed when people post big pictures though, makes things way harder for me.

My boss keeps threatning to move the tinternet onto another computer.
Which is by the door and a bloody great big window and at a desk I don't sit at.

So far I've put him off the idea but it's only a matter of time.

I used to have B3ta open in a small window so it was blocked from view by me sitting in front of it. I wonder if that's a possibility for you?

I feel your pain.
I currently occupy a seat in the corner of a room with three other people, all of whom are working on the Shit Burner project. It gets very noisy in here. The offer has been made to move me elsewhere.

I have politely refused, because this is about the only place in the whole goddam office where I can keep my monitor turned so that only I can see it.

If they move me I'll have to be productive...

Another tip
Minimise the page and make it look like a toolbar at the bottom of the page with just about 4 or 5 lines showing.
Works for me.

I've been caught on B3TA so often....
...that I had to turn my desk around so that my screen was on dislay and not facing the wall.

Feels like I am in the "naughty corner."

Yeah, I might do the "making the screen really small" thing.
But the temptation will be there to make it bigger to look at stuff on /board.
