the difference is that you expect him to change his diet, and mock him for not wishing to do so - but you wouldn't do the same.
just because you perceive vegan food as palatable and meat as non-palatable does not make you less of a hypocrite on this point. sorry to be the bearer, babygrl.

it's you that has missed the point here. you are basically saying that your principles make it ok for you to do something that you mocked someone else for doing.
what you are really saying is: if you eat meat, you should be fine with an enforced vegetarian diet when a guest because polite. but if you don't eat meat, other rules apply. but your principles about meat are only your principles. they aren't universal. so either he's rude and you're just as rude, or you're not rude... and nor is he.

Asking someone to not consume or eat meat in my home, while offering veggie meals does not involve hypocrisy of any sort.

It is criticising/mocking SBT for doing the same as you would do that makes you a hypocrite. You should be saying, meh, I'd be the same in a meat eater's house. It's not one rule for you and another for everyone else, you know.
