Yeah, all that stuff is cool and I would totally vote green, expect I know from living in Brighton that they are fucking useless
They are an environmental group really, they can't organise a pissup in a brewery.
brighton is ranked almost last for its recycling record in the country, if they can't even get that right then I really don't know how they'll do running government.

also a non-means tested benefit for everyone of £71 a week sounds great. but giving all that money to people who don't need it seems stupid
that's a lot of money that could probably be put to much better use

But you're getting it back from the people who don't need it in tax anyway.
and it stops them whining about scroungers if everybody gets it.

yeah, to be fair, I've done little to no research on how any of it would work. I find ill-informed statements the best way to learn

It's actually no research isn't it?

No, I have a couple of freinds on facebook who are permantly locked into a public conversation about policies, I usually just side with one of them for fun
does that count?

But if everyone gets it*, then the admin goes down so much that's a viable option - you can't cheat it.
I'm pretty sure i'll be quite a bit after the cutoff, but I still like the idea.

* Actually, in the Green's version - there's a cut off which hasn't been anounced yet.

The trouble seems to be separating macro issues from the day-to-day business of actually keeping the country running.
Big ideas are great, but they take so long to implement that the general public would lose patience and start moaning about all them politicians being the same.

MPs don't run the local council
or something

Aye, but it's the same employees.

And the other blokes have done such a great job?
It's all done by civil servants anyway, the government just stands at the front.
