(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 13:59, Reply)
I would say that was universal, rather than local

(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 14:01, Reply)
I'm from Oxford. I speak the Queens English, no ridiculous local dialect here. You common knobs.

This is a terrible thread.
Most of it is gibberish.

Squinny is a well used local term (meaning moaning, whining or crying)
The worst thing around here is the dialect though. Town is pronounced Tane, for example. It's horrible and set my teeth on edge every time I hear it.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 14:26, Reply)
Actually, it can be used as a noun and a verb
He squinnied like a squinny
(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 14:27, Reply)
What about dinny and dinlo?

(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 14:29, Reply)
Yep, I don't tend to hear Dinny so much these days
but certainly Dinlo or Din
(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 14:30, Reply)
Squinny also used in Hampshire and I'd heard it in Kent.

(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 14:27, Reply)
It's not Kent m8, I'm Kent and you're all muggy boneheads.

(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 14:30, Reply)
Portsmouth is in Hampshire

(, Fri 3 Jul 2015, 14:36, Reply)
Stunned possibly didn't know you were in Portsmouth, but he's still an idiot.
