I am good thanks
I'm actually going to have to get out of bed and go to work tomorrow morning.
I don't think I can cope!

Can you have a stamper
that says "Mrs Liveinabin says you must try harder" on it? And then stamp all the kids' jotters with it.

Hopefully, if we're suffering from the same thing, we won't catch anything off eachother.

You should have joined us yesterday in my plague thread. It would have survived with your presence.

I would of
but I was probably asleep. I slept till about 4 today as well. Just really sneezy now, was supposed to have my stupid Sainsburys induction but I couldn't make it and I think the woman was really annoyed. I would have just thrown up on everyone there though so I think it best I didn't go

k2 I think it's something to do with the fact my head is weirdly full of cotton wool and it has pushed all the grammar out! *sneezes out some apostrophes*

Hi K2k6
I am a /linker by nature, but I do pop in here from time to time. I went to at a bash in Manchester which turned out to be a QOTW do, so I like to think of myself as an honourary QOTWer. It was fun. I drank cider.

Speaking of which is anyone else coming to this:

@TGB: I've been spending insane amounts of time in bed too. At least I've got central heating here, but the times it's on is at the discretion of the landlady. BTW: I find Lemsip helps clear things up for a few hours.

Evening all
I've got photoshop fixed, bloody finally.
So, tonight I'm working on a huge back-log of design work for people.
*sighs*

I just popped in to say "hello".
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:36, Reply)
You are probably right Toria
I am probably just going crazy as I was outside smoking with /linkers most of the night.

And I am actually going crazy.

I really want a cuppa but I am all snuggly on the sofa.

to you Kaol. What was up with Photoshop?

My old* version won't run on my new Intel Macs. I'll need to spend some money sometime, but I don't use it professionally so I'm reluctant!

hehe procrastinating much there Clendrix? :p

Spakka sounds perfect, I have to get up and get cold if I want to get tea or go to bed :(
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:53, Reply)
Spakko
That's all very well, but as an essay about tea will be awarded a 'FAIL', there's not much point. No essay would be easier and as ineffective.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:54, Reply)
Right...
Mr, K... My version of CS2 was "free"...
*coughs*

And it did some auto-updatey thing, which stopped me being able to use it. Think it recognised a duplicate serial number or something.

But, yeah, I had to get a new version.

Nothing wrong with old photoshop, a lot of the stuff on the newer ones is just superfluous twiddly bits really.
Like nipples on a Silverback.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:55, Reply)
Oh Kaol, it's you.
I didn't recognise you.

Spak, is your toilet in the same room as your bed? Just how small is this flat?
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:58, Reply)
@Kaol
Yes, I have had 'free' versions too.

And 7.1 was perfectly adequate for my needs, but it refuses to run on my new machines. The trouble with the CS versions is that they 'phone home' as you say. I may have a new version lined up though.

*coughs*

Glad to hear the diseased people are starting to feel better.

I'm grumpy as sin today - I had to do a whole day of work without an mp3 player to listen to. It was horrible.

On the bright side I'm going to the pub tomorrow and have a legitimate reason for not going on the date I didn't want to go on. I've also been given a lindt advent calender by my Mum. It's terribly yummy!

A good evening to you, Ms. Clendrix :D

Mr. K, I know, "phoning home" is an awful, awful thing.
I wish my version of Dreamweaver wasn't fucked up the same way, can't seem to get hold of another copy.

I've got the wrong kinda of friends around here, I could get drugs and weapons easily, but not "free" software.
Although I've got one more guy to ask, who I got a bunch of stuff off before.
Woo!

EDIT: Hi V!

(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 21:09, Reply)
Well...
Because I know how to use PS, so don't need to learn how to do it all over again :p

Plus I've got a rather epic collection of PS brushes that I've made/got my hands on.
I doubt they'd be compatible.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 21:10, Reply)
.
@TGB
Plus I've got a wooden floor which makes movement easier than a carpeted floor. However, I've got to be careful not to wiggle my bum too much in case it makes my chair move too much.

@Kaol
If you want to prevent Photoshop doing an auto-update thingy, try installing a firewall that prevents individual apps from accessing the Internet.

@c-drix
What does your essay have to be about?
BTW: my toilet/bath/shower is in a different room, but it opens up right in my kitchen. Fortunately, there's an extractor-fan in the bathroom.

I'm disappointed tonight. Not only was the meeting I was in today hard work; and not only have I trodden in dog shit (not good in Caterpillar boots because of the tread) necessitating a toilet roll and cotton bud cleaning exercise; but I had my heart set on a Chinese takeaway tonight... Only to find that no-one is answering the phone :-(

Which now means that Tourette's is in t'kitchen rustling up a quick pasta dish instead.

KGB - Somethings happened to my dad
and they refused to tell me anything for well over an hour due to the Data Protection Act.

Then an officer that I'd not seen or spoken to before came out and told me what was happening., by talking down to me.

With such quips as

"Your daddy is in one of the rooms in the back"

and

"I've told you once, haven't I, and I'll tell you again, your daddy..."

I was being 100% civil with a look of sheer worry on my face, yet treated me like shit.

Why isn't my housemate back to make me tea *sulks more*
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 22:51, Reply)
Because he's rubbish and should be kept on a
lead at all times. I don't advocate choke chains though. They're mean.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 22:58, Reply)
*hands badger tea*
I'm off to bed. Night folks.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:00, Reply)
night V
*hugs* thanks *enjoys tea*

That is a good idea Becky!
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:04, Reply)
I'm off to bed too
early start tomorrow. Night all x
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:07, Reply)
G'night V, Becky.
Anyone else left?
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:08, Reply)
I am
sulking about still
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:10, Reply)
Sulking eh?
*offers cider*
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:12, Reply)
I'm too ill
to drink but thanks.

Too ill to drink or smoke. Which is rubbish. I fancy a good chain smoke right about now
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:13, Reply)
Too ill to drink or smoke?
Fuckin' hell, how're you typing?

I found that menthols are good for flu :p
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:14, Reply)
haha
I am seriously debating how ill I reckon a smoke would make me. It's been two days, and I haven't eaten much so I am guessing pretty ill...

I should really use this as a leg up to quitting but my brain is just screaming "SUCK IT UP AND FUCKING SMOKE YOU CUNT"

My brain is so lovely
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:17, Reply)
Hahaha!
I dunno why, I can just imagine you screaming that.
At yourself.
*shrugs*

Well, I shall be going for my midnight Lucky soon :)
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:19, Reply)
I do yell it
at myself quite a lot :(
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:21, Reply)
Awh :(
*hugs*

Nothing wrong with that, as long as you don't yell back.
Arguing with yourself is a slippery slope.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:23, Reply)
hehe
not yelling back, the other half of me is just sulking
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:24, Reply)
That's ok then!
Do you remember the tramp that I brought into the pub on Friday?
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:25, Reply)
I remember no tramp
*may or may not have gotten up to check his messages on match.com*

*may or may not Is definitely sad*

:edit: And kaol, as attractive as I find you I'm glad you're not hitting on me. You're far too tall for me.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:27, Reply)
no....
did you buy him a drink?
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:29, Reply)
Oh...
There was one!
He was old, and had a huge beard.
And I put him in the pub.

I don't remember what happened to him.

EDIT: I don't remember, but I don't think I got him a drink.
And V, I know, it would never work between us :(
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:29, Reply)
I think
I was too busy feeling people up
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:33, Reply)
Obviously...
Although not my tramp-friend :p
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:34, Reply)
And on that note
I'm going back to bed.

Hope you feel well enough to give in to the screaming soon badger. Hope you, erm, retain your dignity kaol.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:35, Reply)
haha
even I have standards :p
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:35, Reply)
My dignity?
Nothing can take that from me.
Night!

I've got nowhere near enough design work done tonight, Kaol Black may have to be delayed or have a short "bridge the gap" comic tomorrow.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:38, Reply)
I may go risk a smoke
I really really need one. I don't think I've eaten anything recently enough to be sick from it :p
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:39, Reply)
I need one too...
But I'm bravely holding out 'til midnight.
Good luck though!
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:40, Reply)
I had half
felt any more would be pushing it :p
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:49, Reply)
And was it everything you ever wanted?
Or was it a waste of time?
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:50, Reply)
Nope it was awesome
And stopped me sneezing for a bit
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:51, Reply)
Fantastic!
I'm so glad I didn't catch the illness that you and Spak seem to have.

Hmmm... You AND Spak.
The plot thickens...
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:53, Reply)
Yeah
it was all the snogging we did.
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:54, Reply)
There you go then.
*twitches*
Five minutes...
(, Tue 2 Dec 2008, 23:55, Reply)
Hmm
I may go watch some more house.

Means getting up and going to the dining room though. It's sooooo faaaaaaar

Is this overreaction:
b3ta.com/questions/offtopic/post317796

?

Or do I make a good point? What's the point in being abusive all the time for the sake of it towards a particular group of people? Or do they actually hate us? How the fuck has that cunt Baldmonkey got the nerve? JMG is OK I guess, I just don't understand WHY? Is it meant to be funny? It isn't. To my mind it's just sad.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 0:00, Reply)
To be honest, lost
It's not gonna achieve anything.
The counter-arguement is always "why don't you put them on ignore?"...
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 0:04, Reply)
And I've been reading b3ta longer than 99% of people on the boards..
..the argument that "it's not like it used to be" doesn't wash..
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 0:05, Reply)
*shrugs*
Dunno then mate.
What I do know is that I've finished my design work for the night, so it's time for a smoke, then bed.

Night :)
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 0:08, Reply)
Yeah, this is pointless..
..It's just disconcerting how many people seem to have taken Nathan Barley seriously. Oh, but that's probably in my own mind, as the likes of JMG will intimate, and then go on to try and wind me up for the sake of it, because this whole internet thing's about embraciing the pointlessness or whatever. Seriously, this has brought me right down. These people seem to hate themselves more than I do. Maybe I'll sell my laptop - that's the really post-modern shocking thing, right? Then I'll get outside in the outdoors and lamp JMG in the fucking eyes.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 0:09, Reply)
Do you need a hug Lost?
Sorry I had to make the epic trip to the dining room :p
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 0:12, Reply)
Ah, cyberhugs never did it for me..
..that's one problem - I don't believe in any of this.. or something. Every message board I join bums me out eventually.. I leave a trail of people wondering where the hell I went.

But thanks for the offer..

I need a joint to go to bed with but only have red wine.. hope I don't regret posting all this in the morning..
