And how are we all tonight?

I'm actually going to have to get out of bed and go to work tomorrow morning.
I don't think I can cope!
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 19:55, Reply)

Have almost recovered from the flu. Hope to be back at work tomorrow, but just in case, am staying away from my Tai Chi class tonight.

but I was probably asleep. I slept till about 4 today as well. Just really sneezy now, was supposed to have my stupid Sainsburys induction but I couldn't make it and I think the woman was really annoyed. I would have just thrown up on everyone there though so I think it best I didn't go

I am so ill I don't care about grammar. It's a bleak day indeed.
Hey Toria! How's you?

you're not coming down with whatever was going round at the London bash Toria! I was up to about 5 layers yesterday and still cold.
k2 I think it's something to do with the fact my head is weirdly full of cotton wool and it has pushed all the grammar out! *sneezes out some apostrophes*

I am a /linker by nature, but I do pop in here from time to time. I went to at a bash in Manchester which turned out to be a QOTW do, so I like to think of myself as an honourary QOTWer. It was fun. I drank cider.
Speaking of which is anyone else coming to this:

@TGB: I've been spending insane amounts of time in bed too. At least I've got central heating here, but the times it's on is at the discretion of the landlady. BTW: I find Lemsip helps clear things up for a few hours.
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:36, Reply)

I've got photoshop fixed, bloody finally.
So, tonight I'm working on a huge back-log of design work for people.
*sighs*

My old* version won't run on my new Intel Macs. I'll need to spend some money sometime, but I don't use it professionally so I'm reluctant!

Normally my housemate would be here and I could look sad and get him to go make me tea but he has abandoned me *cries*
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:47, Reply)

It has taken many years of practise in sitting on a sofa under a blanket to get this good at it.
I'm off now, toodles all :)
PS I like it here. Its nice. Like a friendly, polite, grammatically correct version of /talk, but with fewer dickheads.
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:51, Reply)

I've got my bum planted on a swivel-chair. Am in easy reach of my supply of Lemsip, my kettle, my computer-desk and my bed. Unfortunately, this is also a sign of how small my flat is.
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:51, Reply)

Kill two birds with one stone and write an essay about tea.
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:52, Reply)

come back soon :)
hehe procrastinating much there Clendrix? :p
Spakka sounds perfect, I have to get up and get cold if I want to get tea or go to bed :(
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:53, Reply)

That's all very well, but as an essay about tea will be awarded a 'FAIL', there's not much point. No essay would be easier and as ineffective.
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:54, Reply)

Mr, K... My version of CS2 was "free"...
*coughs*
And it did some auto-updatey thing, which stopped me being able to use it. Think it recognised a duplicate serial number or something.
But, yeah, I had to get a new version.
Nothing wrong with old photoshop, a lot of the stuff on the newer ones is just superfluous twiddly bits really.
Like nipples on a Silverback.
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:55, Reply)

I didn't recognise you.
Spak, is your toilet in the same room as your bed? Just how small is this flat?
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:58, Reply)

Yes, I have had 'free' versions too.
And 7.1 was perfectly adequate for my needs, but it refuses to run on my new machines. The trouble with the CS versions is that they 'phone home' as you say. I may have a new version lined up though.
*coughs*
( , Tue 2 Dec 2008, 20:58, Reply)

Glad to hear the diseased people are starting to feel better.
I'm grumpy as sin today - I had to do a whole day of work without an mp3 player to listen to. It was horrible.
On the bright side I'm going to the pub tomorrow and have a legitimate reason for not going on the date I didn't want to go on. I've also been given a lindt advent calender by my Mum. It's terribly yummy!

A good evening to you, Ms. Clendrix :D
Mr. K, I know, "phoning home" is an awful, awful thing.
I wish my version of Dreamweaver wasn't fucked up the same way, can't seem to get hold of another copy.
I've got the wrong kinda of friends around here, I could get drugs and weapons easily, but not "free" software.
Although I've got one more guy to ask, who I got a bunch of stuff off before.
Woo!

@TGB
Plus I've got a wooden floor which makes movement easier than a carpeted floor. However, I've got to be careful not to wiggle my bum too much in case it makes my chair move too much.
@Kaol
If you want to prevent Photoshop doing an auto-update thingy, try installing a firewall that prevents individual apps from accessing the Internet.
@c-drix
What does your essay have to be about?
BTW: my toilet/bath/shower is in a different room, but it opens up right in my kitchen. Fortunately, there's an extractor-fan in the bathroom.

I'm disappointed tonight. Not only was the meeting I was in today hard work; and not only have I trodden in dog shit (not good in Caterpillar boots because of the tread) necessitating a toilet roll and cotton bud cleaning exercise; but I had my heart set on a Chinese takeaway tonight... Only to find that no-one is answering the phone :-(
Which now means that Tourette's is in t'kitchen rustling up a quick pasta dish instead.

Or do I make a good point? What's the point in being abusive all the time for the sake of it towards a particular group of people? Or do they actually hate us? How the fuck has that cunt Baldmonkey got the nerve? JMG is OK I guess, I just don't understand WHY? Is it meant to be funny? It isn't. To my mind it's just sad.

..It's just disconcerting how many people seem to have taken Nathan Barley seriously. Oh, but that's probably in my own mind, as the likes of JMG will intimate, and then go on to try and wind me up for the sake of it, because this whole internet thing's about embraciing the pointlessness or whatever. Seriously, this has brought me right down. These people seem to hate themselves more than I do. Maybe I'll sell my laptop - that's the really post-modern shocking thing, right? Then I'll get outside in the outdoors and lamp JMG in the fucking eyes.
