Unpleasant discovery
I learned over the weekend that one of the treatments for c. difficile is the faecal transplant.

Basically, you take a stool sample from a healthy relative, and use it in an enema. It works by helping to restore the bowel's fauna to what they should be.

What unpleasant things have you discovered recently?

I've discovered
The lock on my car door is getting harder and harder to get the key into. I'm concerned I may have to start entering the car via the passenger door.

I feel sorry
for the poor sod who volunteered for the medical trials the day they first tested the theory, thinking they would be taking a few pills.
A sort of Gillian McKeith in reverse is probably not what they were expecting.

I'm just thinking, wouldn't it be trying to restore the bowel's FLORA?

Fauna is animals and humans. Flora covers plants, bacteria, fungi.
Seeing as how the bowels use bacteria...

Sounds pretty gross either way.
