I had my last cigarette at 10.30 last night
and haven't had one since. I was planning on using the patches, but haven't. Just quitting cold turkey.

And it's hot outside, so I'm gonna sunbathe.

You might want to
lay in supplies - patches, gum, lozenges - just in case.

Good luck!
Hope it works out!

Tough it out girl.
Cold turkey worked for me. It really is quite easy once the initial craving is busted. The hardest part is breaking the habits around the smoking, not the nicotine dependency. Leastways it was for me.
Good luck, keep it up it's worth it.

Congratulations and good luck
and do avoid those "Just this once" moments, or you will end up remembering some of the things you forgot about smoking.

I can't...
put strongly enough the advantages of patches, tampon thingies and what not else - but I turned into a seething mass of nastiness when I quit - Nicotine replacement was thrust onto me by those close.

I find I eat a lot more....
when I try to abstain. I've found the best way of combatting this is munching raw carrots. They are healthy and taste nice, but get boring quite quickly so I eat them slower and slower.

Onya!
Keep going keep going keep going keep going...

And then soon you'll be all like "oh, I haven't had one for a week/month/three months, I'm a non smoker now!"
