How have easter-eggs been for you this year? Do you plan to eat any interesting or unusual easter-eggs?

( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 11:07, 146 replies, latest was 16 years ago)

I don't get any Easter eggs. I'm not a massive chocolate fan.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 11:24, Reply)

I have a feeling it's going to be quiet around here for a few days...
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 11:33, Reply)

At work, we all got a big easter-egg, so when we went to the pub, it looked like we were a tribe of easter-bunnies, but without the floppy ears.
EDIT: 'morning DG. How's the honey-moon going, and for that matter, how's the honey's moon these days?
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 11:33, Reply)

Yep, it is indeed a wee bit dead. I'm just basically counting down until tomorrow.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 11:35, Reply)

hope you're still around!
My family doesn't give eggs out until Easter Sunday - so I have no idea!
I have to work tomorrow and easter day though. woo.
/huggles everyone.

I'm milling about intermittently as bored at folks' in the Scottish Borders til I can fuck off up to Edinburgh tomorrow.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 11:57, Reply)

good to see you beekers - haven't seen you for a bit (maybe I'm still blind?).
Times like now when everyone is fucking off to scotland makes me wish ten x more that I was sodding there already!
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 11:58, Reply)

No, I haven't been on much lately.
Work blocked B3ta so haven't been on through the day for ages.
It's going to be a top bash, may even be as busy as the one for beckyletter's birthday bash last year.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:00, Reply)

I'm turning the Edinbash trip into a week long trip, and I still haven't started packing yet. Am procrastinating by posting here.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:03, Reply)

I fully intend to hold a massive bash when I get to the UK. It's already up on the calendar. I want to meet all these
That's a bit shite that work blocked b3ta though. Haha - discovered school automatically blocks it because there are too many swear words on here.
A bigger bunch of bureaucratic, cunting, fuck face, sweaty, greasy cocktards I'll never meet anywhere else but in my school.
Bliss.
EDIT: /slaps Missaspakka lightly over the back of the head.
Woss this 'ere then? Get packen you slack jawed mong!! I cannae be there to gi' ye a swift kick up the hoohah but rest assure' if I were there yeh'd be hoppin' to et quick smart!
Go'an! Go pack!
And then bring me chocolate cos I loves you really.

there's an option somewhere on your profile settings that you can use to filter the swearwords. That way, you should be able to not get it blocked by the local swear-blocker.

Haha, wait til you get into the world of full-time employment!
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:07, Reply)

I work two full time jobs over the summer now - one during the day and one at night - both in hospitality. One is my Waitressing gig and the other is reception.
I know all about full time employment and the real world. But I maintain my stance.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:08, Reply)

Maybe it's because my job is pharma-industry based, so there is much red-tape beauraucratic fuckwittery. Can't fart without there being a set-in-stone procedure to adhere to.
Bah!
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:10, Reply)

not last week in a local pharmacy - and I've been lusting after it for years. But the pay would be shite in comparison to what I have now and I get a lot of satisfaction out of my job. So I don't mind sticking in where I am.
Sides. I only work part time at this time of the year - fucking exams are creeping up already!
EDIT: Why do you want a Lasagne coat by the way??
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:12, Reply)

Take any job that pays well at the minute, at keats til economic bollocks starts to work itself out.
A lasagne coat would be awesome! You could eat it if you got too warm. It makes sense in my head anyway.

Now I want more jaffa cakes! damn.
I don't like fish. I figured you would though. Everybody but me seems to love the stuff.
EDIT: beekers - I'm actually on a traineeship contract there - so if my boss has to for whatever reason let me go - he has to find me another job with equal pay and everything. woo.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:28, Reply)

That's as stable as you can get at the minute VC. My job isn't that well paid, but the industry I'm in is as safe as can be at the moment so I'm not looking for anything else just yet.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:31, Reply)

and i know you have my best interests at heart VC
Sounds like you're sorted for work then poppet, stay where you are!
@BK - a wise move. well, not move, but you know what I mean.
I'm staying in my theatre. Box office receipts would seem to say that there is no credit crunch, everything is hunky dory, and I know my job is safe because if there's only 3 full time staff and any fewer than that and we can't acutally function. Hurrah.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:34, Reply)

Yes, stay, because I'm coming to see you at your theatre tomorrow and if you leave you won't be there and I, by extension won't get lifties to Edinburger.
*blethers*

and the pay (for a 17 year old) is pretty damn good. I just sit back and watch my bank account get bigger and bigger.
Of course once I start to book shite (next holidays is when I'm booking so I can get very cheap tickets), that's when the money will start to waste away. But still got *counts in head* 17 months to go.
I figured since I'm leaving right after exams I may as well quit my job a month before hand so I can study up as much as I can.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 12:39, Reply)

At that rate, you should have a fair whack saved in 17 months. You going to be located in a particular spot when you're over or are you having a good old tour about?

Erm, quite.

because I'll be living with Halfy - but yes will be definitely touring about. Will be visiting holland (at this point) over the Easter for three weeks while I am there before coming back for a bit, then buggering off to france for a bit (thinking june) and Germany, and then coming back for the rest of my time in the UK.
Can't wait. Fucking excited as fucking buggery. And I don't mind tea and pies on me as long as you buy me a pint.
Hell - maybe given enough reason I'll emmigrate permanently. I've always wanted to live in the UK.

Course you can!
I've no idea where I'll be living by then, mind, but I have standards so it'll be somewhere nice and I make awesome pizza and chocolate cake and I always, always have gin and cushions to hand.
How does that sound?

I make mean omelettes, excellent G&T's (got my boss drunk just on two!!) and I'm always up to bringing a block of chocolate (or two or three).
Oh! that is so going on my "list" of things to do when I get to the UK now!

And what music are you bringing?
I have got a nice eclectic mix of rock, goth, operatic metal, hardcore, matchcore and grindcore to get me to Peebles and then whatever Tulip decides to play in the car.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 13:30, Reply)

you sound like you have a good taste in music!
I'm just getting some random stuff, mostly types of ska and metal. I'm going to be stuck on my own in the airport for like an hour so thought music would be a good idea.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 13:33, Reply)

I like to think so.
Currently, I have on Meanderthal by Torche. Best album of last year I reckon.
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 13:35, Reply)

You'd laugh at me though - my tastes include that and so much more.
Lol - Melly - I read "Ska" as "skat" and went what the FUCK?
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 13:36, Reply)

I shall look them up!
I'm listening to Lemon Demon at the moment.
Edit: VC- there's nothing like listening to a load of skat when you're bored. I could sing along to it while wiating for the plane :P
( , Fri 10 Apr 2009, 13:36, Reply)

and beekers, you know my taste in music is dreadful so I've decided that tomorrow will be read-aloud day in the car and I shall provide literature for you to read in your dulcet jock/yorkshire hybrid tones.
although, I feel I should warn you, it might be a Spot book or a copy of Hello!

I'm not good at singing in general though so I assume skat would be even harder.

I do like omelettes very much!
I had one earlier in fact. I make radioactive ones with turmeric.
And the wink was because The Story of the Eye is a naughty, naughty book by Georges Bataille and it would put poor tulip off her driving.
