I am currently dosed up to the tits on (fairly strong) painkillers.
Having not had any for a while, I feel a bit spaced out; what are the best painkillers you've had, and why?

Dihydrocodeine and Diclofenac.
The former was fantastic, I felt nothing, it's like my whole body was numb. I had backache at the time and they were excellent. They weren't even mine, were my mate's prescription.
The latter I was prescribed for something or another, it's basically a NSAID (anti-inflammatory) but it put me on the moon.

But I've got a mouth infection of some sort at the moment. My GP prescribed Erythromycin as an antibiotic but I've been managing the pain with (and I know it sounds painful) swabbing the area with TCP, rinsing with Corsodyl mouthwash and taking the odd ibuprofen. Working really well for me!
Don't bother with Bonjela, it's useless.

after taking 8 a day to kill blocked aorta pains, try and have a shit. Its impossible. Maybe TMI, but you do tend to get spaced out on 30/500 co-codamol. Weeeeeeeeeeeee.

This is the best painkiller... I use it when my knee starts playing up.

Headache is as good an excuse as any!
I do love that stuff you get for general anastheyic too. Last time I went in for some dental work a ma-housive African man said he was going to give me 'that friday night feeling' and started chuckling to himself as I went off with the fairies...

Took the pain of a broken leg away, and replaced it with hallucinations of graffiti on false ceilings and boobies.

too. All I can say is that I can understand why people get addicted to it.

Every time I've been administered it, I get pretty strong hallucinations. I hate the thought of losing my mind to anything - if the situation came around again, I'd have to think hard about whether to have it or not.

Had been in terrible pain for about 12 hours when collapsed and taken into A&E. Registrar there hit me up with 5mg of morphine and ... wow. Sudden pink elephants.

When I eventually came to, al refused to tell me what he'd put in my orange juice.

As I lay back shadowy dancing girls flitted out of the corners of the room and a TV with the sound off provided inspiration for the world's funniest comedy show. Absolutely the best feeling ever but probably addictive and that.

Take 2, 4 times a day and all your back pain will go away. Guaranteed.
Also guaranteed is a floating feeling of general well-being and lots of sleep.
And constipation.
