A little bit of Manga Hair gel to start
Then lots of hair spray and a hair dryer. Takes anything up to 20 minutes to achieve maximum rigidity.

In my day it was a bar of imperial leather and a mug of boiling water.

1) Dip soap in boiling water
2) Leave for a few minutes
3) Remove soap from water and let it cool
4) Use the 'slime' as styling product to create spikes.

Bloody hairspray indeed. Pfft!
