The BNP will slowly remove Indian restaurants?
I'm not sure that the BNP would. I thought the BNP were against Immigrants, not Indians.

Or was the joke more that the BNP are racist
and all Indian restaurants are run by people who are a different race to the BNP.

If this were the intention of the joke it makes two vague generalisations based on race.

It falls short of making a value judgment about somone based on their race, but it's not the funniest or cleverest joke to make after talking about your own burning intolerance of the BNP.
