the real question here is
how many of you fatties get a side burger to compliment your main burger when you go to McDonalds?

I've only done this after I've had a long surf, and the only place left open is the drive-through at Barnstaple. I know others who make it a regular thing though. Surprisingly they aren't enormous, and they have reasonably good complexions.

I've done that.
No regrets.

Until later.

All the time!
Quarter Pounder Meal (large fries, diet coke) and a Big Mac for dessert

I weigh 12.5 stone :0)

However
you're only 5 foot 2.

Back when I was a dumbass teenager who ate at McDonalds
I would have a cheeseburger, and instead of fries I would have a cheeseburger, and instead of a pudding I would have a cheeseburger.

So that's 3 cheeseburgers.

Now that I am a dumbass 32 year old I dont frequent such establishments.

I do the same as Spikey
When I go to Maccy D, not that I go there very often.
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:09, Reply)
Nah
fat people make me instantly, physically sick, going to a McDonalds can be a bit of an adventure
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:11, Reply)
Yeah, I'm a fat fuck
I get a Big Mac/Quarter pounder meal, large. Start with a double cheeseburger, then 6 nuggets to go with the meal.
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:12, Reply)
Oh, that happened recently
A friend and I couldn't decide between a Big Mac meal and a cheesburger, or a McChicken Sandwich and a cheeseburger. In a fit of drunken heroics we each got all three.

The most amazing things happened to our digestive tracts. (Fnar!)
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:13, Reply)
I've been known to do that
once or twice before in my time!

My question is this. Why oh why are you going to Maccy D's in Barnstaple when you could go to the best fish and chip shop in the WORLD in Braunton and have amazing food for tiny amounts of money??
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:14, Reply)
because it's either shut
or the queue is out the door and down the street.

I don't rate Squires that much, the takeaway anyway. My local chippy in Exeter is much better.
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:18, Reply)
Aww its never been shut when I've gone.
I will agree that on a sunny day the queue is mahoooosive though.

I love Squires, well I love Braunton really, mainly for the Salt Rock shop!! :)
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:20, Reply)
salt rock is good
I've had some insanely cheap clothes from there. The Maccy D trips are only if we leave the beach properly late from an evening surf, so we are getting to Braunton at like 10 or so in the week.

Last time I was there the queue to take away and restaurant was quite a way down the street. Fortunately I'd made a delightful picnic.

One of the best surfs I've ever had too. Wonderful.

edit: are you from around there or something?
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:22, Reply)
It is indeed,
I've also managed to get some mega bargains there too!

Ah okay then, I can understand why you'd go to Maccy D's then if you're not finished surfing until late in the day.

Where do you surf? At Saunton Sands? Thats a wicked beach, not too sure about the waves though?

I always been a bit of a beach bum despite living nowhere near Devon. I just know North Devon quite well from lots of camping trips and running around on the beaches.
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:28, Reply)
I surf a longboard so generally Saunton is ideal
my other half is becoming a shortboarder though, so we often compromise and go to the middle of Woolacombe.

I love North Devon, apart from all the fucking tourists. It gets so busy in summer that it's dangerous. Hit a guy right in the face with my board towards the end of last summer
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:41, Reply)
That is
the main problem with Devon. I would love to live there but the tourists would do my head in, same applies for The New Forest, lovely part of the world but the tourists are idiots.

I can totally see how you might hit someone with your board, people just don’t pay any attention in the water. Goons.
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:46, Reply)
generally it is avoidable
it's one of the advantages of saunton. I can be bothered to walk a mile down the beach, whereas your average moron tourist can't
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:48, Reply)
Thats true
its such a massive beach you can usually avoid most people.

My family used to take our crazy german shepherd over to Saunton in the summer, he was good at keeping the tourists at bay, mainly because he looked evil. In actual fact he was lovely and as daft as a box of frogs.

sounds like a wise plan
I need to get a surf dog
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:53, Reply)
Haha deffo
If you have a long board its a must; There's more than enough room for a dog at the front! :)
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:56, Reply)
I've probably done that before.

(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:22, Reply)
Thrilling contribution their gonz, well done.

(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:29, Reply)
Oh yes.
Why have fries when you can have an extra burger?
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:25, Reply)
Many years ago
they had a buy one get one free offer on Big Macs. So I ate two Big Macs.

That was when I stopped going to McD's regularly.

(I can't help feeling a thread has gone missing from the main page)
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:26, Reply)
Yup...
...on the rare occasion that I go to McD's I get a Big Mac meal with an extra cheeseburger - a combo that's become known amongst my mates as the McFatBastard ;)

These days though I'm more a Burger King man, mainly because my mum won't take no for an answer on one when I go to see her, insisting that I 'don't look fed'. Bless her.

There, there. You don't have to stay long. Never mind me, I'll be ok. I'll just cry when you go home.
Aren't mothers great?
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:42, Reply)
This is me
I will always buy a burger from the pound menu every time I visit to compliment my meal.

Last visit: 2 Big Macs and a Chicken Mayo, no fries/drink.

Surprisingly, as you say, I weigh in at just under 11st and have a 34" waist. I can lower my pulse to 50bpm (though not for long) by concentration alone and my blood pressure is non-existent.

How does THAT make you feel, fatties? :-)
.
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:47, Reply)
Reminiscent.

(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:52, Reply)
Yeah
Reminds me of me right up to about 25, when my metabolism fell off a cliff.
(, Tue 9 Jun 2009, 15:57, Reply)
25?!
I got to about 18/19 before I balloooooooned up. Well a couple of stone. I hope it doesn't get worse than this!
