Christ on a Segway!
I've just had it confirmed that daughter's mother is pregnant again... Four kids by three fathers. Nice.

Anyway, there's a distinct possibility that it's a knee-jerk 'emergency' pregnancy due to lots of shit she's been having with her boyfriend recently.

What I'm asking you good people here is, how soon after conception is it possible to know for sure you're pregnant? I'll be really interested to see if this kid is born within the proper time.

I don't think I've worded that very well.

Also, feel free to judge her.

I think the digital ones can tell you within 3 days

You can buy them in the pound store as well, but those require you to wait two weeks
My friend Allie refuses to take the pill or use other contraception other than condoms, so takes a test every month and buys them from the pound store in batches.

Ok
I guess, that's assuming that you're trying to get pregnant and checking regularly doesn't it? The three days thing.

I assume so. I've never tried to get pregnant

you're very mean about the mother of your child
that makes you a bad parent and the worst kind of scum.

Ask Al as he seems to be the expert on EVERYTHING.

(, Fri 19 Jun 2009, 13:58, Reply)
He's only the expert on this
because he's the mother.

A friend of mine started a relationship with a woman who had 3 kids by 3 different men.
She was a real class act.

2 weeks.
basically.

There is a fertile window of about a week each month, and it's the week before ovulation. This window ends at ovulation. Once you've ovulated you enter the luteal phase and it's then too late for fertilization to occur as the sperm has to travel to reach the egg.

Implantation takes place normally about 6-10 days post-ovulation. HCG levels then start rising and that's what a pregancy test picks up. Usually at the time when your period is due. Sensitive pregnancy tests can pick up HCG a few days earlier than the date your period is due.
