Wedding Gift
Any ideas for an original yet thoughtful wedding gift?

The downlow is as follows:

- I'm in Australia, won't be in UK until couple of weeks before the wedding (early August) but can buy online and get delivered to address at home
- I'd rather get something original, that's obviously had some thought put into it, than some sheets or crockery or some other shite on teh wedding list
- iwoot.com is usually a good place for me to start for these things, only seen a couple of things that may be suitable
- he's my best mate, i've known her since school (but I wouldn't know where to start when buying her a present)
- their house is really small
- i'm skint, mostly because I'm flying from the other side of the fucking world to get there, around 100 quid-ish if possible

Thought I'd run it past you intelligent and arousing fuckers first to see what you can offer...

ummmmmm
this is probably a bit girly, but what about a scrap book or photo album of things that mean a lot to you all? Or of them from the outside? Movie stubs or covers of movies you've seen together, or tickets from gigs, that sorta thing.
I'm not really in the right frame of mind at the moment to answer properly, sorry.

You're in Oz?
Can't you beat some aboriginies in to carving something nice?

last wedding gift I boguht was
a really nice lighthouse, painted in cartoony style on a piece of driftwood by a guy who used to do animation for Count Duckula and Dangermouse.

Check out etsy.com
It's like ebay but for homemade stuff so you can find lots of things on there that are unique. It's an american based site but there are loads of Australians and Britons on it so the shipping won't be ridiculous. And because everything is homemade, a lot of it is quite cheap, you can find really nice canvases, arty stuff and things like that.
