There's no clothes I can buy, make me feel like myself. She said.
I remembered this song and listened to it four times in a row as I came off the motorway and got home last night.

What was the last spontaneous thing you did that made you happy?

liberated leftover champagne from the departmental fridge
and drank it on the tower roof last night with a bunch of my old workmates

(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:02, Reply)
That's exactly what it was like.
We smashed the system. We stuck it to The Man. We stole a tray of leftover canapes from the Dean's party as well. And I agreed to crew a yacht at 4pm today. I have no fucking clue how to sail.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:05, Reply)
you don't need to know how to sail to be crew
you need to be able to take orders and understand unnecessarily cryptic terminology
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:05, Reply)
sounds just like a good night in.
I shall be fine in that case.

Love She Said! Lost Myself is on heavy rotation with me at the moment.
And Little Baby Nothing. Are we sensing a theme?

Anyhow, spontaneous things? Getting up and singing on Wednesday night at an open mic night. Cleared the cobwebs.

EDIT: Did you used to go and see the Longpigs when they were gigging? Loved them. Richard = lovely. Crispin = bit of a tit, but talented all the same.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:01, Reply)
Who's Lost Myself by?

(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:02, Reply)
Lost myself is also the Longpigs.
Get it on now. You will love it.

Saw them support Echobelly once, they were very good.
It's almost perfect that he's called C. Hunt though.

I've probably done something since
But the thing that springs to mind is kissing somebody in the rain.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:04, Reply)
is that a euphemism?

(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:05, Reply)
Nope
It genuinely happened, by a statue too.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:06, Reply)
but which statue?
We may never know.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:08, Reply)
It wouldn't be hard to work out
But I'm lazy.

(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:53, Reply)
yeah, that too
I scored a soul last night. Foolishly, someone kind of entered a guitar duel with me. I won. Their soul is mine.

mwahahahahha
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 13:56, Reply)
Hahaha!
I wanna set my guitarist against you and see what happens.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 14:01, Reply)
I've heard him
he'd probably win

not necessarily on ability, but I've baked my brain quite a lot over the years ;-)
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 14:07, Reply)
Haha!
I love my guitarist.
Not in the physical sense.
Because he's far too old.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 14:12, Reply)
how old is he?
he is rather good. hard to tell just how good until you've seen someone play and how they come up with stuff really.

does he improvise well?
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 14:14, Reply)
Yeah.
He's pretty good at going off into a solo when I give him the nod.

We did an improvised metal song about beggars last night, was lots of fun!

He's 31. Oooooooooooooold!
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 14:56, Reply)
my drummer is 35
bassist 24. old bastards.

our songs generally tend to be about getting stoned. or music. or werewolves.

we'ev got one that is about being beaten up by the police, but that one doesn't get played much because of the screaming. and the main lyric being "you've got no balls"
