Faulty PSU I reckon.
Saturday it was turning itself off of its own accord and periodically the monitor fails, too. I wouldn't mind but I've only had the bloody thing a month and I'm damned if I'm going back to my laptop...

given the PC's position (had laptops that overheat before and it's a pain in the arse).

restart your pc,
go into the bios (press DEL when you're asked)
fiddle around in there until you find system/hardware information, it should tell you cpu temperature,
if it's over about 40 degrees C while in the bios then that's the problem.

Princess mononoke is my favourite, "Castle in the sky" is excellent, "Spirited Away" is a masterpiece and I really like "Howls Moving Castle".

Castle in the Sky was one I saw when I was really tiny.
The style captivated me because it was like nothing I'd ever seen before and I spent years trying to track it down...

I still need to see Howl's Moving Castle as well! Do you just like Ghibli or have you got favourite series too?

I do like Ghibli, but I wouldnt want to own them all
a couple of years back Film 4 did a Studio Ghibli season, and some of them I found a bit boring but I could appreciate them for the outstanding animation ("Kikis delivery service" and "Whisper the heart").

I have also tried getting into Manga, but I find it all a bit hit and miss. Akira is great, but so much of Mang is just nonsense, and some of it is just downright nasty (Legend of the Overfiend).

I hate anime
I can't get past the really shit animation and dubbing to even work out if there's a story worth watching. Sweary Jr has just purchased seasons 1 & 2 of Bleach, which is particularly grating on me just now.

The way to watch it is in Jap with subtitles.
No irritating dubbed voices and the plot often makes more sense.

Unless it's Evangelion, which never makes sense.

Which I find equally offputting. I quite like the art style, even though it is all a bit samey, but the animation is so jerky and crap it makes my eyes bleed.
