Hello monkey felchers
I've been learning the endocrine system this morning and now know how to get from Indiana Jones to Hyperthyroidism in three easy steps.

What have you learnt today and is it acceptable to discuss on this, the most serious of the b3ta boards?

I have discovered that James Carter has Autism.

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:49, Reply)
and is an unfunny cunt.

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:49, Reply)
We already knew that
but well done on your discovery all the same

Maybe you should also read the faq,
real life names are a no no.

No point banging on about it though.

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:55, Reply)
He seemed to think it was funny to call me Sebastien Winnet

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:56, Reply)
You're incredibly childish
And on a serious note, you think you know about green energy, but you don't know what Autism actually means.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:58, Reply)
It's when a broken person isn't able to see how retarded they are.
JamesCarterComedy is a textbook example of this shittest of diseases.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:01, Reply)
You are a winnet!

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:59, Reply)
Umm did you just out yourself to the interwebs?

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:01, Reply)
What?
I have a normal person's name.

So far I've been called:
meat puppet
The Goat
Wormulus
and a Winnet

What the fuck is wrong with you people?
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:03, Reply)
HAHAHA!!
Stop crying winnet!
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:03, Reply)
You seem to know a lot of folks here...
...so it would stand to reason that you're either a meat puppet or a now deleted account.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:04, Reply)
I thought you might be baldmonkey too,
so you should add that to the list.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:06, Reply)
b*ldm*nkey...
...tended to be slightly more derranged with his trolling.

I go with the Wormulus suggestion.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:10, Reply)

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:12, Reply)
on photo's what?

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:13, Reply)
abrieviation of photographs
I am correct.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:18, Reply)
Bollocks you are.
Photo is no longer regarded as an abbrvtn - so photos is the normal pluralityfication
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:24, Reply)
The apostrophe would seem to indicate a possesive tense
Although missing letters are indicated by an apostrophe in words like can't, abbreviations don't generally use apostrophes: an abbreviation of gentleman is gent. The abbreviated form then gets treated like a word, so its plural is gents and its possessive is gent's. The plural can also form a possessive, gents'.
These are correct:
The gent's hat (the hat of the gent)
The gents' hats (the hats of the gents)
Gents (Gentlemen) – a lavatory sign, maybe.

Although the abbreviated sign on the door of a gentlemans' toilet is an owned tense(as in belonging to more than one), it still reads "Gents" without the apostrophe.

Listening to the 2003 Reith lectures
Rather good, on psychology/neurology and what we can learn from certain conditions, such as phantom limbs and synaesthesia.

not sure if it works outside the UK or not
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:51, Reply)
Erm
I have discovered good news but cannot discuss it here, or anywhere for that matter, but it has given me a very good note to end my working week on.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:51, Reply)
Will you tell me tonight if I lick your face?

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:54, Reply)

(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 12:59, Reply)
I wouldn't take them if I were you,
better to get it now and get some immunity incase it mutates into a stronger strain.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:00, Reply)
Didn't we already have this discussion?
If it mutates your antibodies are going to do fuck all, what with it now being A DIFFERENT STRAIN.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:34, Reply)
But it will help those who have the original strain and will certainly help those who have rubbish immune systems

Also
Doctors have discovered a cure for Radiation Sickness.

Holy crap.
(, Fri 17 Jul 2009, 13:39, Reply)
That's both good and bad
as in a way it increases the likeliness of nuclear weapons actually being used. Which is scary.
