I remember the video from back in the day. What I remember the most were MC Hammer's oversized trousers.
It seems like the tune was forgotten about and then appeared many years later as a meme.
(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 20:12, Reply)
until it resurfaced on the internets, and I don't think I saw the video till recently. The Hammertime flashmob on youtube is amazing, too!

Back when I was 16, I was at my first teenage party that I'd been to for some time. I was very shy and at first mostly stuck with a very small group of friends and felt a bit lost and awkward. But when U Can't Touch This came on, I burst out of my shell and got up and danced! This won the admiration of several partygoers and I finally felt I had found my place at these parties - albeit briefly. Needless to say, I danced a few more times and started going to more parties and my life was never quite the same since...

"MC Hammer made me the man I am today." You should sell that to Take a Break, and make many shiny pounds!

I also posted this and this.
I've not had a worthwhile answer for any of the recent QOTWs and don't have the time to make up a non-answer anymore. I miss unemployment!

I feel that pirates are distinctly underused in games...

Not sure how I could add pirates to Populous though...

... A pirate I was meant to be, trim the sails and roam the sea ...
Not sure what my favourite game EVAR is though. This will require more thought.

And the one that scored top was a 5 year old game (FYI it was Boulder Dash).

Listening to Norwegian being played over a tannoy while in a semi-hungover state does sound a bit fucked up too.

My housemate has gone out for a 'walk' with one of his ladyfriends, so I'm sat being lonely with beer.
My life is awesome!

One of them he stole off me, which I'm none too happy about. But I can't say anything because I've (unintentionally) done it to him before.
Ah well, I'll get her another time!

Am also going out on plenty of walks with my walking group. If I meet someone interesting there, my walking may even lead to a 'walk'.

For some reason, playing something backwards makes me think everyone's speaking Norwegian.

But this is even better.
I THINK it's Icelandic. Cause that's where it's filmed...

I know enough Dutch to understand the true meaning so it kind of spoils it for me :'-(

but I can get the gist because I speak German.
(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 20:35, Reply)
but whenever I'm in Germany, I still like to pretend I'm speaking German when in fact I'm probably just speaking Dutch with a German accent.

My Dutch is "sorry" "hello" "kind regards" "refund" "the" "train" "delay" "fuckhead" and "best".

Back when it terminated at Waterloo, the signs were translated into Dutch too, but now, they're only in English and French.
(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 21:55, Reply)
and occasionally get letters in Dutch. Thing is with SPI, we're very limited in the signage we can have, since the station's owned by English Heritage, so that may explain the lack of Dutch.
Also, we've changed security contractors of late so you may not have to empty your pockets now...

That should also mean there's no longer a massive check-in time.
For some reason, I find being on a Eurostar train isolates me more from my surroundings than any other train.

... soonish ... so that may well change it. Am looking forward to having a corner of the carriage, I must say!
(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 22:14, Reply)
Maybe it's because the train goes too fast to properly take it in, or maybe it's just that it skips the built-up areas.
