I just re-installed windows and I can't for the life of me find out which video driver to install.
I've tried all the usuals....Device Manager, Display Properties etc. but everywhere says nothing installed. I've reinstalled windows before but I can't remember which driver I need.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and you shall be reimbursed with sexual favours for the forseeable future.
This message was brought to you in 800x600!!!!! Please help

LogMeIn Mirror Driver [Display adapter]
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 [Display adapter] (4x)
AOC LM-700 [Monitor] (17.1"vis, s/n T7KF1CAG12071, December 2001)
DELL 2407WFP [Monitor] (24.2"vis, s/n CC30366U18VS, June 2006)
Generic Non-PnP Monitor
So in my case I'd be heading to nVidia's site for drivers.

telling us the make and model of PC.
With that information, the driver can be located...

If onboard then go to the website of your motherboard manufacturer and download the graphics driver for your board (it will be written in the board what make and model it is) If a graphics card do the same but get the make and model of the graphics card.
Just open the case and take a look its simple I promise!
*edit* if your on a laptop do the same just go to the website of your laptop manufacturer. If they don't have a website then put your head in your hands and cry uncontrolably

It's an Acer Aspire 3630 Laptop.
Built in graphics hardware.
I've tried their site, but for some reason my model isn't listed. Tried a similar model number but it wouldn't install.
I didn't have this problem last time I had to install it, I'm sure it was something seemingly generic. Sorry I can't give more details. I sound like a proper compu-spazz.

I found this page...
www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg11744.html
Which seems to suggest your onboard graphics are...
0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS]
661/741/760/761 PCI/AGP VGA Display Adapter
So possibly try the SiS UniVGA5 or SiS UniVGA3 driver download and instructions from here...

at work at the minute I'll give it a look when I get home.
I'm off to Spain for a week on Saturday then I'm off into the studio in the next couple of weeks.
Got a mate studying Music Production at Uni so the studios there are top of the range.
...oh and it's completely free!

I need to steal your mate. How does he feel about lengthy car journeys in a burlap sack in a locked boot?

He also has a ponytail which he tucks down the back of his shirt, but that's by the bye.

shows the graphics card to be a:
SiS Mirage M661MX
So I suggest you try downloading it from here:
www.sis.com/download/
Next time, put the computer model number plus what you need to find out into Google.
Good luck
