and how are you?
is it true what i hear about /OT?
*shudders*
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:04, Reply)

I've been off working and studying - haven't heard anything.
And I'm allright I guess. Just got a lot of shit happening all at once.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:06, Reply)

or something.
may all be a crock of shite.
anyway, it's business as usual as far as i'm concerned.
so, you be busy? i call it "shite-wrangling" when too much shite is happening at once. like just at the moment.
want a laugh?
i'm 40 in 2 days...
never thought i'd get passed 25 to be honest...
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:13, Reply)

Somehow I don't know how I'll reach 25 at this rate.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:17, Reply)

"Fuck That Shit!"
at anything we don't like.
i can still remember my 25th, had a mental party. and i mean proper mental. back in the day when drugs were still good...
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:20, Reply)

I don't really go to parties that much. I'm a bit socially awkward. I never know what to do at parties or who to talk to.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:25, Reply)

The phrase "I never know what to do at parties" reminds me of when I was 16. I soon sussed it out, but my shyness still persists to the present day (albeit in somewhat reduced form).

How goes dude? Yeah, I'll have a go of the bunker. I would have fucking loved the Blitz. I bet it was brill, apart from the explodey bits.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:39, Reply)

babyblaireau has decided (in her infinite wisdom) that 3:45am is the new getting-up-time.
WTF?
oh well, reheated lamb dahnsak for breakfast...
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:47, Reply)

How's your good self? Neck is wrecked from headbanging, of all things. Stayed in last night to recover. Today I'm off to mum and dad's for din-dins then to see my mates' bands playing. We have a little music festival in Liverpool every August bank hol, cos of the Beatles.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:37, Reply)

sounds like a good weekend. I can't believe that on tuesday it's september. Where's the fucking year gone, eh?
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:47, Reply)

i think that on tuesday i shall be having cake for breakfast!
and ice-cream.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:49, Reply)

Next month, it will be a year since I started my job. It sure doesn't feel like it!
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:05, Reply)

My year so far was punctuated by a February, a June, an August. In three heartbeats it flew by that quickly. Don't reheat the food. It's nicer cold!
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 8:57, Reply)

that was actually a bit hot.
yeah, this year's been a funny one.
september already...
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:04, Reply)

It looks like this corner of OT is still alive anyway...
Today's walk will be in Epping Forest.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:00, Reply)

( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:06, Reply)

What's that about?
* adds an extra heartbeat or two *
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:17, Reply)

Sinus as in heart beat rythm.
Holby as in Holby City Hospital on bbc1 every tuesday evening...fantastic stuff...watch as comedy not drama and it's definitely FTW!

I'll be walking to the shop, and round the outdoor stages in search of moar booze.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:08, Reply)

Perhaps they should place all the drinks you're getting in a path on the ground that you'd have to follow. That would get you walking. For me, it's the pub at the end of the trip, and sometimes, we stop at a pub or two for lunch as well.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:15, Reply)

why, that's unspeakable!
ban this sick filth!
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:23, Reply)

I'm off to a barbecue this afternoon and the weather is looking just fine!
Hurrah.
Also, this talk of OT vanishing is put about by people from /talk because they don't like us.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:36, Reply)

Ooh and enjoy your barbecue. I do hope my mum doesn't try to make us eat sunday roast in the garden though. It's just not right.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:41, Reply)

but even so, it made me feel all defiant and principled.
i need to take things less seriously on a sunday morning.
and how's tricks in the bin household?
bbq? sounds good. we've got a continental food market on this weekend, will be visiting later, for sausages and beer and so-on.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 9:41, Reply)

We had an old friend staying last night, he is now off to a wedding. Later we are off to the barbecue being hosted by some new friends.
What a sociable weekend!

I've now been consumed by a large silver worm that's about to burrow itself under the bowels of London.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 10:10, Reply)

you mentalist.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 10:21, Reply)

I suspect the rumours of OT's demise is due to the dearth of posts yesterday.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 11:05, Reply)

you allright there, dude?
any plans for today?
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 11:09, Reply)

Probably stroll down to the pub for lunch. There were mutterings about doing stuff this weekend but nobody's come up with anything yet.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 11:16, Reply)

there's a continental food market (as they call it) on all bhw, so beer and sausages for tea!
i hope the guy with the wild boar dried hams is there, 2 for a tenner, marvelous ;-)

Just found out that Crowded Scouse are not on the tribute act stage at this year's Mathew Street festival. I love the names of the tribute bands. Next year I might do my own. I'll be Fakin' Stevens. What you think?
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 11:47, Reply)

So hands off, you lot. Shed Kevin- coming to a hovel near you.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 19:15, Reply)

Not because I am awesomeness at fishing, but because I sponsor most of the events, so our club leader gave me a trophy with my name on it. Yay!
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 17:48, Reply)

you BOUGHT a trophy and the associated glory?
corporate money is great, no?
;-)
did you catch much?
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 19:36, Reply)

I just went for the party!
The trophy is awesomeness though - here:

( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 20:16, Reply)

but then realised that would be crass and insensitive.
so i won't do that.
instead i shall congratulate you unreservedly.

I mean I persuade my boss each year to give out goodies and PDA's at each of our two annual events.
So in effect, I WORK for it! LOL!
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 21:12, Reply)

Just got back from my walk and am just a wee bit slightly drunk.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 22:18, Reply)

I spent today getting wet under a leaky tarpaulin while ducking flying caravans. It was more full of win than any other bank holiday weekend of the year.
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 22:25, Reply)

Sounds intriguing. Were they trying to launch them off ramps or something?
( , Sun 30 Aug 2009, 22:30, Reply)

got distracted.
No, it was the annual banger and caravan race at the stock car club. Best one I've been to so far, made extra specially good by the fact that I was there with my mum and a load of people who'd never been before and they loved it too.
