Grammar snobbery.
This can be a bit annoying.
Especially when the poster doesn't have the same command of English, that is , they're writing as a forriner.
So please don't pull people up about spelling and semi-colons/lobons?
Thank you.

Or you could stop being so fucking over sensitive
and treat it like a free english lesson. If you make a point of remembering all the advice you are given, you will become a better person.

Just yesterday I discovered that I didn't actually know the correct meanings of the words "Momentarily" and "Disinterest".

You can if you use a plastic bag to stop the air getting into your throat

Hahahahahahahahah.
Good luck with that, tediously earnest requests do so well here.

It's true.
You might as well have just written PLEASE BITE MY HEAD OFF.

Your post is poorly constructed.

(, Fri 11 Sep 2009, 10:03, Reply)
In what way?

(, Fri 11 Sep 2009, 10:13, Reply)
It's a series of short grammatical fragments which could be better expressed
as a single paragraph.

For example:
I find the grammar snobbery on this board a bit annoying, especially when the poster clearly doesn't have the same command of English as the people reading it e.g. they're writing as a foreigner. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't pull people up about spelling and semi-colons/lobons etc.

Kind Regards

I'm not being tricked into that!
You asked not to be pulled up.
Besides, Al did a fine job.
(, Fri 11 Sep 2009, 10:20, Reply)
Why thank you

(, Fri 11 Sep 2009, 10:21, Reply)
Because that's the polite thing to do...
oh, wait, there's no question mark on the end of it. Al was saying "Why, thank you," rather than "Why thank you?"

SEE THE MISTAKE I COULD HAVE MADE. OBSERVE THE SUBTLE DISTINCTION CAUSED BY A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE IN PUNCTUATION. CORRECT SPELLING, PUNCTUATION AND GRAMMAR WILL BE ENFORCED, EVEN IF WE HAVE TO BRING IN ANGRY JESUS IN HIS HOLY HONDA ACCORD AND HIS 12 DALEKS-BUILT-FROM-THE-SPARE-PARTS-OF-HONDA-ACCORDS TO POLICE THESE BOARDS.

You see, even I am not above making glaring errors like that.
Even TGB has got confused between your and you're.

I loved the rogue apostrophe on her profile - I used to look at it and laugh,
One day she noticed it and took it away.

I'd pay good money to witness this.

Parsing...
## APOSTROPHE USED CORRECTLY TO INDICATE ABBREVIATION {I WOULD}
## FULL STOP USED TO END SENTENCE
## CONDITIONAL TENSE: USE OF {WOULD} FOLLOWED BY INFINITIVE
###THIS POST HAS BEEN APPROVED. ANGRY JESUS HAS NOT BEEN SUMMONED.###

I don't mind grammatical errors
The important bit is the message contained therein. But, amusing mistakes should catch a bit of flak too.

And I know you should not start a sentence with "but".

Or "and".

Or "or" come to think of it.

Bugger.
