I FUCKING LOVE MEAT LOAF.
There. I said it.

I also quite like a McFly song or two, I have Take That's 'Beautiful World' album, I like Dr. Hook, I taped the Girls aloud concert on Sky and I like Star Trekkin' by The Firm. And yet I'm a metal head. What's wrong with me?

Dr Hook are fucking awesome
Cover of Rolling Stone is perhaps one of the greatest songs ever written.

Not to mention You make my pants want to get up and dance!

GOD DAMN IT DADDY, you know I love you, but you've got a hell of a lot to learn about RAWK AND ROLL.

Overlong, overblown, tediously grandiose...
Are just a few descriptions I can apply to Meatloaf's music. Never saw the appeal, although I think the man himself is someone I'd like to have a pint with.

He used to have to have oxygen
after his shows as he damn near killed himself hitting all the notes.

The man has a good voice, I'll grant that
I just don't particularly care for his music.

You sir, are a fool!
Yes, that's right, a fool! I said it!

His music is a cliche within a cliche
wrapped up in an operatic rock score for people that don't like rock.

I went to a wedding do years ago and a Meatloaf track came on. Two guests that no-one had apparently seen before got up and did a fully worked out and choreographed dance routine to it. It was the biggest pile of self indulgant wank I've ever bore witness to.

The dancing wasn't much better
