what's up with those knees then?
And mice - are they really scared of them?

I know this because Dumbo and Timothy Q Mouse became bestest friends!

but, if memory serves, they are scared of pigs on fire.
Burning pigs - the anti-tank rockets of their time.

I'm pretty sure that I would be. It would pre-cook the bacon though...

I'd probably be more scared of the thousands of burly men with spears and murder in their eyes. If they abandoned the spears and instead took to lighting the pigs on fire and hoping they ran at me, I'd probably be quite relieved.

The myth came about because elephants used to be kept in tiny stalls that were never cleaned and their feet would rot because they were standing in their own excreta. Mice would find their way in and nibble on the decaying flesh, causing the elephants pain and producing a learned response to future rodent sightings.
The above was discovered in the jabberings of an elephant expert in a popular men's magazine; I leave the assertions of its veracity to others.
