I think you'd have to chuck a few Simon and Garfunkel songs in there too.
Sound of Silence, Mrs Robinson and Cecelia are three of the best songs I've ever heard.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 9:59, 2 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
Have you only ever heard three songs
and those are they, by any chance?

They were fucking BENDERS.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:02, Reply)
Actually I have several albums, (by S&G - and my cd collection is getting quite large)
And I like them. So bite me. I have my opinion - you have yours. The question said "in your OWN opinion." This is mine. Deal with it.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:03, Reply)
Fuck me, she's so going to ignore you now Monty

(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:05, Reply)
I presume she still has you on ignore?
After that long and unwarranted hate campaign she had against you?
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:07, Reply)
Yep
Sadly I didn't have a Blaireu69 on my side to gaz the mods in indignation on my behalf.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:17, Reply)
That's a shame al
A damn shame. I wish I had someone to do my bidding for me, warranted or not. Things would just happen faster.

No badges, I'm afraid.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:14, Reply)
Aww
Badges make everything better and more right. Apparently I'm just rubbish and quite wrong then.

You probably taste of CONVICT.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:14, Reply)
Yup, cos the Dutch brought out loads of convicts to australia in the 1950's.
:)
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:15, Reply)
I have to admit
My knowledge of the colonies is somewhat limited.

In the case of Australia it's limited to convicts, Steve Irwin, Mick Dundee, Midnight Oil and the slow genocide of the indigenous population.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:22, Reply)
well - Steve Irwin freaked me out with his exuberant-ness,
Mick Dundee was just annoying, Midnight oil aren't that great and I'd say come out and veiw the way the indigenous people live before you say that sort of thing. It is not that there is a lack of help for them - there is more help for them, then there is for any other minority in Australia. They have every opportunity they could want - they just don't take it.

In turn - my knowledge of England is not that broad either. And I don't like black sausage. blech.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:27, Reply)
RACIST!
Or do you mean Black Pudding?
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:30, Reply)
Black pudding.
Sorry - the chef I work with calls it black sausage. I hate the stuff.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:32, Reply)
I'm not a big fan of it
But white pudding is nomalicious.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:33, Reply)
Ever had red pudding?
It's a meatier type of thing. But both black and white puddings are fantastic in their own way. Black for breakfast, and white with chips in a white pudding supper (available from all good chippies in the east of Scotland).
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:35, Reply)
Never.
But having looked it up, I'm tempted...
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:36, Reply)
Not sure I've heard of that...
what is it? Made of fat or something?
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:35, Reply)

(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:36, Reply)
.....sounds like an odd combination,
But I'll try it if you say it's that good.

simon and garfunkel are awesome. Kodachrome is an excellent song.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:26, Reply)
ehhhh, no so keen on that one.
I just find them a very peaceful and relaxing band to listen to - and, benders or not - they had brilliant voices.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:29, Reply)
they do have some peaceful and relaxing stuff this is true
but the upbeat stuff is also great
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:30, Reply)
Yup.
Hence Mrs Robinson being up there on my list. Fairly boppy without being totally in your face. :)
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:32, Reply)
Simon and Garfunkel are my Uncles
and Mrs Robinson is my gran
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:39, Reply)
I'm sure there's a current topical joke there,
but I've totally missed it. Sorry. Y'hear that whistling sound? Yeah, that was your comment going over the top of my head :P
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:41, Reply)
Damned by faint praise there
I can honestly say that in a collection of several thousand records I don't have a single one that I would class as 'fairly boppy'...
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:41, Reply)
Really?
Monty, that sucks. Do something about it.
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:44, Reply)
Perhaps you could draw me up a list
of the best fairly boppy tracks out there?
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:45, Reply)
I'm sensing sarcasm,
on a massive scale here...
(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 10:46, Reply)
