Gosh, what a lovely Friday
I've just been described as 'fast and efficient'. In reality I just plod along and do the minimum.

I've had a massive breakfast bagutte and can of 5-ALive or something. I got Modern Warfare2 waiting at home, I'm off to the pub after work and I'll be out for beer tonight as well.

Is everyone else having a lovely Friday so far?

He's a good boss, it was all jargon based confusion.
Someone high up and external asked someone to find out the "cost of call" they rang me and asked me for "call cost" I gave them the correct "call cost" figure and they reported it as "cost of call".

I've no idea how a mistake like that could have happened.

I say I'm not but I do follow certain conventions like not walking under ladders, not putting new shoes on the table, and whistling at lone magpies. I'm selective though, because I don't pass on chain emails and I'm not too arsed about umbrellas indoors.

I do always ask St. Anthony to find lost things and I have a statue of St. Jude in my room that was bought for me as a joke, but I can't take it off display because he's my nana's homeboy and she said he'll always get me out of trouble.
I'm not religious either.

Little bit annoyed at my rather higher up colleague
She's at that big BBC foody thing down in London, and asked me to track a parcel. The status was "Please Call" which I did, and the helpful phone-monkey informed me that the order is merely in the process of being picked up from the depot and what with the order deadline being today, it will likely be delivered by 6pm.

Can't argue with that thought I - called aforementioned colleague.

"Oh FFS TDW, give me the number/consignment number, I'll do it myself".

Pretty fucking bemused at this to be honest. Won't take the shine off things though, as the birds coming home tonight, fun times tonight, gonig out for an expensive meal tomorrow just the two of us, wine to be consumed (first booze in 4 weeks!!) and then.. more erm fun. So fuck the spastic politics of the office!
