Did anyone watch that programme on BB2 about that Gerry chappy looking into dementia care homes?
He was watching some old dear being lifted out of a chair by two women and she was effing and blinding and trying to hit them.

He sat there afterwards talking to her and she was effing and blinding to him. Hilarious.

Afterwards he said, 'wow, she must be really angry about the treatment she's getting in here'.

No she's not. She's just a daft old bint who likes swearing at everyone.

Edit - It was a sad state of affairs though. I wouldn't stick my mum in one of those places.

I worked in a place like that when I was 15, old man went into her room, she punched him in the junk and he punched her in the eye

I worked in one when I was younger
making drinks in the evenings and helping set up kitchen stuff for next day.

some of the residents were hilarious. sad, but hilarious.

one woman was always convinced that she was in a hotel, that the service was awful (which to be fair, it was) would without fail ask me to bring her the bill in the morning.

We got the puppy tagged yesterday at the vets.
I told my mum that if she got any dafter then we would do the same to her.

We always say to Nana "When you start smelling of pee, you'd rather we told you, right?"

I got an aunty (barbera) who has all sorts of mental problems, skitzophrinia, demiencha and all that.
She's always been in a home, since I was a kid, and I've always thought it would be a whicked idea to do something similar for young professionals, like a block where everyone gets their own flat, and a comunial area with pool/bar/jacizzi, that sort of thing.

Some apartment blocks are going that way
Have residents' gyms and bars and stuff.

it's called 'Docklands'
also the Bow Quarter development (in the old Bryant & May match factory) down the road from me is the same - concierge service, gym etc all in the building...

There are business premises with the same shit nowadays - some of the big corporate firms have launderettes, restaurants and gyms on site so the poor cunts who work there never have an excuse to go home...

That's standard here.
Most of the big apartment complexes have pools, jacuzzis, weight rooms etc.
There's nothing better than getting in from work and being able to go lay out in the sun for an hour!
